TOSHIBA MODEL 32RV530U WILL NOT TURN ON YELLOW LIGHT IN FRONT BLINKS 3 TIMES

This could very well be a problem with the power supply not allowing the TVs to start up but can also be caused by a problem with the TVs firmware. I would suggest downloading the firmware and following the steps from the following link. The download and steps are in the firmware tab after clicking the link. Be sure that even if you have no picture while applying the firmware update that you under no circumstances remove power from tv for at least 15mins. This is to ensure the firmware completely loads. If you remove power while it's still updating the board may be corrupted. http://support.toshiba.ca/support/ceg/center/en/index.asp?p=32RV530U

Where is the inverter board in the back of the Toshiba 32RV530U

For some models of Toshiba set; uses a Samsung display panel; the the inverter board will be inside the pane [built in type]. There is no repair to this type of display panel; other than replacement. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Toshiba regza 32rv530u powers on runs fine for a while then powers off?

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Regza 32RV530U HD TV, dead,

Generally when you see no life at all the problem will be in the main power section or the power source.

The cheap things to try are just to try another outlet as well as reconnecting the power cord. Sometimes those will be just loose enough. If you are very lucky this is all it is.

Normally when the tv is dead the problem is in the main power section or an internal fuse has popped. The power section requires replacement as there are no easy to fix parts on it. The fuses can be replaced but that may just pop again as the cause may still exist. As an example the power supply could have a problem that popped the fuse so if you replace the fuse it will work just long enough to go out again.

What you need to do is check to see if you have any warranty. This might be Toshiba or perhaps a extended store warranty. If you have warranty then you just need to talk to the store or Toshiba or drop it off to a repair depot or authorized service centre. To find out if you have warrenty you need to dig out your sales receipt and call the store. They will tell you if you are covered and by who. If you are not covered then this becomes a bit trickier. This is not a cheap repair so you need to get a estimate only. You also want to know what the price is of a replacement tv. The repair for a main power board can be over $500 (and more) depending on the model. So there isn't any sense to repair it if it's a hundred or so cheaper to just get a new one. Wish I had a better fix than this for you but there really isn't one.

How to widen the screen from a wide screen to full

On your remote you should find a "Format", "Picture Size", or similar button. This should "scroll" through the choices as you press it.

If there is not a button on the remote, access the user menu and look in "setup" and find "Picture size" or "Format" or the like and change it there.

Hope this helps!
