When i power on tv it automaticly turns off
Hello,
It's the problem of overheating in the power supply board of the TV.on the power supply board of the tv there are few capacitors and IC.any of this ic is got short or may be weak.so due to this when you start the TV the current passes from electric outlet to the power supply board of TV.but when the current passes from that weak/faulty part at that time current gets stopped or slow and the board overheats and TV shuts off. this is a common problem faced by many other users too.the possible option to solve this issue is to check the power supply board by a meter and continuity tester and replace the faulty component on the board which is short due to which power supply board is getting overheated.its bit technical job but yes its not at all a costly repair to do or get it done by the technician. for required parts it can be easily available from local electronic hardware shop.
I hope this will help to solve the problem....
Distorted sound on my LG
Ur last chance, might be the power supply board, could have very small amount dip current going through ur tv main Tuner board causes this problem. We might be fishing here, but this is the only logical answer left.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power suppply for the replacement.
Light pulsates like usual when turning on but wont
Hi
A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Tv and look at the power supply on the left hand side.
You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this helps
I have a 42 "
Do you have an HD ready cable/satellite box? It sounds like your tv is displaying your games in a resolution lower than what it can handle.

Want to mount tv lg
You don't use screws for drywall to hang a TV,
EVER. That's a 50 pound TV. You should only use the heavy stud bolts that came with mounting bracket and bolt them directly into the studs. If by some chance the mounting didn't come with them, go to Home Depot or Lowes with the mounting tell them what you're doing and they'll get you what you need. You are using a mounting bracket, aren't you? If by some chance you're trying to do this without a mounting bracket,
STOP what you're doing and get a mounting bracket appropriate for your size television. Go to Monoprice, they're the cheapest and their quality is excellent. Meritline is good as well, they just take a little longer to get. See the video below.

Hi,i have lg5000 42" when
Either one of the inverter boards has a failing capacitor on it, or the FL (backlight) tube is burning out.
in your case, the most likely suspect is the tube.
The easiest way to find out if it's the tube or the inverter board, is to plug each of the tubes into the others inverter. This isn;t possible on all models because of wire length, but in most cases it can be done.
If you have the same problem on the same side, it's the tube
If the problem moves to the other side, it's the inverter.
You can either look for failed caps on the inverter, or just replace the inverter - the former being much less expensive if it's just a capacitor or 2.
If it's the inverter, here's a video that might help you out in determining what capacitors have gone and how to replace them.

IF it's the backlight you'll have to get the make and model of the LCD panel itself, and then go to somewhere like www.lcdpanels.com to order the backlight (or the entire panel if you don't think you can replace the backlight without damaging the panel).
