go to start and then tipe this in your program bar speakers then you will see icon there you eather drag and drop it on wall paper or just leave it there .

Try the flat cable from t-con board to main. I have had several that just had a loose connector. Also if set is less than 12 months old it can be repaired at no cost by a Sony service center. If it is only a few months out of the warranty contact Sony customer relations and ask for a concession repair.

To reset your TV to factory settings do the folloing

Turn on the TV while holding down the "Up Arrow" button on the remote control, press the "POWER" button on the TV. [The tv will turn itsef OFF, then back ON again]. Release the "Up Arrow" button.
Warning: The reset will clear all of your customised settings including parential lock settings.

It will depend on the speakers. If you have computer speakers with a 3.5 mm plug, use a RCA audio (M/M) to 3.5 mm (F) adapter. Plug the RCA end to the audio out on the TV (to the right of the HDMI ports and below the digital audio out).

If the speakers do not have a built-in cable then use an RCA audio (M/M) to 3.5 mm cable or the adapter with the 3.5 mm audio patch cable. Alternatively, you could use an RCA audio cable with the reversed adapter (RCA (F/F) to 3.5 mm (M)).

Now days a lot of these sets come with the display and controller boards attached in one package, and usually is not cost effective. Cheaper to get new television. Be sure to buy a top quality surge protector to protect your next tv from electrical surges. Spend at least $200.00 or more. Best buy has some good ones too. Radio shack has some but not as high quality as most.

Above model is LCD not plasma, if crack is in screen then replacment is worth more than LCD. Given prices on Sony spare parts, you may be better covering as accidental damage on insurance if you are covered.

change your tv main board

Connect your PC with your HDMI cable to both your TV and Laptop.
Press the input button on your remote, then scroll down from TV Mode to your Laptop. It should show up on your menu box on TV screen when you press the Input button.

I have one of these. It is probably set up for some other program like the HDMI or Input 1 through 5.
You can press your INPUT button, then scroll to the TV function, which should show up on the top.

most likely a LCD panel failure suggest calling sony customer support and see about repair accomodation 1-800-222-7669

Sounds like you have a bad panel, if it is less than a year old contact Sony it is still in warranty.
