Your question is lacking some detail , is this a stock radio , after market , and what brand and model . Pictures can help , depending on the siuation code be s radio key is needed or if it's after market do you have a remote ? Try to change stuff with that , could be buttons inop or worst case it's just done. Good luck

Replacement volume knob can be simply plug in, it costs $12.25 from
hereyou just have to check the slot at the back to where the handle of the potentiometer goes through

if you can gain access to the top of the radio, you can try cleaning the laser lens very gently with a qtip and rubbing alcohol.
Hi . . my alpine
the red wire needs to be connected directly to the battery postive/red lead. you may have to run a wire from the battery, through a hole drilled in the firewall, into the red lead on the back of the stereo. it is suggested that you use a fuse, but is not necessary, as close to the battery as possible.

If you have connected the new cable correctly , and you have the system turned OFF... plug the MP3 player in and then turn the system ON ... it should recognise the new equiptment... and allow you to play the MP3 player.

Hi You might have accidently turned off the Bass control settings
To solve the problem you got to Press and hold the B.C. (Bas Control) button for at least 3 seconds to turn on the bass control settings
Pres the DN I or the >>I UP buttont to select the desired Bass center frequency
# Note : if no buttons would be pressed within 5 second the Bass control settings would be turned off automatically

Bass Engine functions provide control over your system, so you can tailor the sound to your personal tastes. Bass Engine includes the following functions:
•Bass Control:
?Bass Center Frequency: 60Hz, 80Hz (default), 100Hz, or 200Hz
?Bass Band Width (Q): Q1 (narrow), Q2, Q3, or Q4 (wide)
?Bass Level: -7 to +7 (-14dB to +14dB in 2dB steps)
•Treble Control:
?Treble Center Frequency: 10kHz (default), 12.5kHz, 15kHz, or 17.5kHz
