Logitech Harmony One LCD Touchscreen Remote Control - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I ASSUME you are using the dvr function of a cable box or satellite receiver. I also ASSUME your other buttons are working, since you say nothing about them. Check that pause, rew, and ff buttons have codes from the correct device. A code from your tv will not help if you need to control your sat receiver. There may be multiple codesets in the Harmony database that work with your device, try all of them. Sometimes the codes are poorly named or even wrong. You may need to try all the codes to find the right one. I'm not sure if the Harmony One can learn codes from the original remotes, but that may be a better option.

You may need to scroll to another screen to see Watch TV. Look for a button that says More Activities or More ... near the lcd screen. You may be able to move Activities around so the ones you use most are on the first page.

Try to set the remote control with an other setup code.

Dear Sir:

Turn off the power to your computer and unplug all cables connected to it. Remove the battery, if one is installed.

Locate the covered screws around the cracked screen. Remove the rubber or plastic covers, then unscrew the screws.

Gently remove the plastic frame around the cracked screen and set it aside. Disconnect any power cords or cables going into the LCD screen.

Remove the cracked screen and slide the new screen into place. Replace any tape or plastic fasteners that hold it in place.

Reconnect all internal cords to the screen. Screw in the frame and replace all the screw covers.

Reconnect the power supply and all external cables to the LCD screen and switch it on.

Hi. This does sound like a Java error. Since the Harmony software is a Java application, you need to have the Java run-time installed on your computer in order for it to work. I suggest visiting http://www.Java.com to install the latest version of Java on your computer. It's completely free.
Once you have Java installed, you can download and install the Harmony software again. This can be done at http://Logitech.com/myharmony.

It all depends on the connection of the DirecTV box - if you use the HDMI it will be always selected first if you have the HDMI Control setting set to on. Also set the HDMI Stand-by Source setting to use the connector in which the cable from the box is plugged in. This way the Denon will automatically start when the DirecTV box is started

Is the remote set to adjust the volume on the TV? If it is going up all the way to 100% or Full on the TV then suggest checking the source. On some cable and satellite boxes they have a built-in volume control also. If that is set low, that would affect the amount of volume coming out of that device.

first we have to find out the remote or the receiver has a problem. for that try to hide remote and push on-off switch on receiver directly. if it switches off again after a while so your remote is ok.

When the remote gets irregular or you have to get closer it indicated that the infrared emitter is loosing power which is usually due to weak batteries.
You may also take the batteries out and check them with a battery tester or voltmeter. Alkline batteries start out at about 1.6 volts and are useful down to about 1.2 volts depending on the equipment using them.

i am sorry my man there is no easy way to set up your harmony remote . i can tell you a couple of pointers keep your info recorded as you will need all your devices brands and models so keep them recorded for the future this will take about an hour to get through the process the first time through but once you have entered the first couple of devices you will get a better idea of how the harmony works its all about preferance as it will do multiple commands with the push of a button with that said once this remote is utilized it will remember where it left off so it must be used religiously to raise your satisfaction level as doing this can cause some confusion between devices its also gonna ask some tricky questions in regards to where each devices inputs are assigned so it knows where to switch settings for certain requests if any of these question confuse you you are gonna need help with either a friend or myself to guide you through any jargon you dont understand but i will tell you have patience as this remote will make life easier and by christmas you will swear by it i guarantee!!!!!

OK, here is the way to do it without any damage to the remote OR battery, even if the battery has bulged out.
Lift up battery with a small knife. Take a length of strong tape and push it under that battery, with the sticky side up. Push it as far in as you can get. Now remove the knife and push down on the battery. Take the other end of the tape and push it in between the top of the battery and the case. You now have a "tab" to pull the battery out with. Enjoy!

Logitech doesnt sell replacement screens like that. I suggest buying a dead remote for cheap on ebay or somewhere.

Hi. You have to add your iPod dock as a 'Digital Music Server' in the software. After yo have added it, you can create a digital music Activity by clicking 'Add Activity'.

HI. You can set this up the same as any other Activity. When you add the Apple TV device, just add it as a Media Center PC, then set up your Activity.

Hi. Were you able to get this remote working again? I am going to suggest you try a firmware update, since you didnt mention that you had tried that. I find that usually solves weird problems like this one. You can do that by going through the following steps:

1. Connect your remote to the computer.
2. Launch the Harmony Remote Software, and log in.
3. Click "Downloads" at the top and click "Firmware"
4. The remote will go through the firmware update.
5. Select "Yes", and click NEXT to update the remote.
