To exit the demo mode, hit the "view" button.

This is the default setting after you have updated the firmware. When you fire the idj2 up use the arrow keys to go into settings and change the "show demo mode" option to off...

Hi, you have to replace the Pitch fader, which is causing this .It requires taking apart the IDJ2 and desoldering it from its board. You have to be exprienced with a soldering iron. The spare part is not too pricy itself, so maybe swapping out 2 of these faders at a time and also replacing worn out switches as a maintenance step. Regards, Regards,

I have this same problem. I haven't found a solution anywhere, but a great workaround is using the Fader Start function - basically the moment the fader is slid into the main mix, the deck which you enable will start to play the tune. Hit the mode button, then select control, and turn on Fader start. It's actually really cool and allows you to do some ballsy mixes :) The deck will pause (or cue depending on the setting) once you bring it back.

I spoke with Numark regarding intermittent cutting out of 750g Seagate hard drive. They claim the problem is with the size of hard drive and recommend using nothing larger than 500g. Bit of a shame really. Surprised no firmware upgrade to incorporate newer storage solutions.

Have you tried re-installing the firmware?

If you have a Mac, from which you transfer the files, it will put extra hidden files on the USB stick. Remove these using a PC.
only the .upg file has to be on your USB stick.

Try a wireless mic system. If the problem persists I would return the unit to Numark. Me personally... I use the idj2 like a CDJ and have it lined into my DJ mixer. There is never an issue with microphones on my Peavey DJ mixer.

My idj2 gets the same problem after 3 hours. For two hours it sounds good, I am using a shure sm58 radio mic. The only way i can get rid of the static sound is re booting the system then its ok.

go into the setup mode and turn of the demostration mode

use the lexar brand jump drive, they tend to work better the the dj station. i have a 64GB jump drive with 3,000 songs on it and it works great with no problems.
