Same quest I had. So, with flashlight, look inside the 3 prong AC receptacle. It's subtle, but on the lower inner "shelf" of receptacle can pry outward toward you with jewelers or thin standard screw driver. Fuse holder and fuse popped out with a hard pry. Does it look burnt? Mine ohmed out okay, so must be some other problem. 8 sec of charge light when 1st plugged in; then no light. Works plugged in but not unplugged. Idled a year in the garage. My fuse was 750mA 250 (in America, 110V)Found fuse, subtly hidden in lower part of AC power receptacle; pried out with small screw driver. Looked good & passed ohmmeter check. I loved the beast when it functioned. It spent a year in the garage; it didn't work when I brought it in. Charge light on for 8 seconds after plugging in, then off. -Cheers

Generally a blown fuse is an indication that something is wrong and needs to be fixed.
If it is happening while the unit is in use, it may indicate power leakage to earth, which could be a safety hazard.
Or it could be drawing too much current because of a circuit fault.
If it happens when the unit is first switched on it could be be because of the initial power surge.

All three conditions could be contributing to some extent.

It should probably be checked out by an electronics technician.

If it only ever blows the fuse on switch on, fitting a slow blow fuse could keep it in service, and may appear to solve the problem, but i would still consider having it checked out and a component fitted to limit the initial current surge, as was fitted in most cathode ray tube computer monitors.

Hey Again, well My transactive

The volume button for the phono can only go as loud as the master volume is set to. In other words the master volume is like a master control that lets nothing go any higher than it, the master, is set to. Because an ipod has very little volume out it needs the master switch to be set pretty high. You should then be able to control the volume with the phono control. Also set the volume on your ipod to it's maximum setting as this will provide a better input signal. However since the ipod is designed to drive earplugs it has very little power out and will never be great on a phono input. It's not a problem with your amp. I find the exact same thing with my 100 watt amp.

Hi.
  • IMPORTANT: Ensure that battery is fully charged.
  • Try disconnecting power for ten minutes (unplug power cord) , also remove battery.
  • After connecting back, connect an audio source, but ensure that volume of input sources is zero and devices are off, or you risk blowing the final amp section.
  • Switch everything on in the following order:
  1. Audio input sources (i.e. microphones, instruments, CD/MP3 Players)
  2. Transactive Mobile
  3. last, any amplifiers
  • Disconnect in reverse order.
  • Check connection cables, a shorted coax may cause the same problem.
If that does not help, then the unit is probably faulty, in that case you will need to call support number listed in user documentation.
