Does the button seem to be broken now?

just format it once

go to my computer or whatever u use to see the files on it and just delete the files usually their in a folder with the name audio book as u said i guess.

If they're not mp3 files then it's probably not supported by that mp3 player and that why you get this message.
Try converting them to mp3s on the computer before you put them on it.

You plug it in then go on to the internet and download Tune4mac ALSO FOR PC then once downloaded you open itunes and add all the songs you want on it then go to file then library then burn play list to disk then change blank cd to tune4mac then weight till done then just drag to mp300 mp3 player and done

lol Instructions Manual. Then It comes with a USB Cable and connect it to the MP3 Player and Your PC. Then your PC should detect it and install (if necessary). Then select your music files on your PC and copy them to Your Mp3.

Instructions When Connected:
Go to my Computer.
Select your MP3 Player's Folder
Minimize the Folder when opened
Open My Documents
Click My Music.
Select Music File
Right Click, Copy File.
Open your MP3's Folder
Right Click, Paste into the folder.
(Make sure the Files are in MP3 Format.

You simply go to My Computer, your MP3 player, Audio and drag and drop music into that folder. Hope you get it sorted out.

you can not............but, this how you get your files onto coby...........plug coby device up to pc...go to my computer and open the new device........now open the folder that has the music...copy and paste (or click and drag) files from pc to coby..............have fun.....feel free to rate the help

I had similar problem
Was due to the fact I loaded straight on to the memory card ( pulling memory card out of mp3 and placing in memory card slot on pc to download the music)
When it will only work if you connect the mp3 player to the pc with memory card still in mp3 player. then should download in correct format and in right place to play on mp3

Put Coby300 2g Installation cd on Your computer and then follow with system instructions.

your MP3 player have its on system inside, this time the program itself is corrupted, you can reformat and reinstall it using its own recovery disk. and first of all install first the program of the mp3 to your PC.

take it off on the computer

if it's an mp3 player you can't use videos, if it's an mp4 player then you can watch videos. just connect to pc and open in my computer then just drag and drop files into the mp3 player

You need to download a driver for the MP300 available from coby.com. Follow the instructions to load the driver, connect the MP300 directly to the PC (you can use a USB extension cable). You can then clear the existing data and load your new data. I can send you a copy of the user manaual if you need it.

Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.

have you tried holding the button for at least 20 seconds. It is a slow player. Volume control is too low increase volume.

Do you have the DVD player for the system? You connect the DVD player to you TV then connect the surround sound system to the DVD player.

That could be bad soldering on the volume control. Especially if it did once connect moving the control. It's probably broken away from the solder track completely now.
