Hi I need some help
There is no "Phono" input, you will need a "preamp" to make it work correctly. The preamp will add the grounding input loop that is missing on the receiver. depending on the quality of Phono you are looking to connect it to, will determine how much you may want to spend. They range in price from $25.00 to ........! Check Google shopping or EBAY. Hope this helps

Hello
So many improper commands send to the unit may make its system and memmory to be confused, and will not operate properly. Just reset the unit to factory settings, and try.
To reset the unit to factory default settings, so the following
[1] Press STANDBY/ON on the front panel to set this unit to standby mode.
[2] Press and hold TONE CONTROL and then press STANDBY/ON to turn on this unit. The advanced setup menu appears, in the front panel display.
[3] Press PROGRAM buttons to select PRESET.
[4] Press STRAIGHT repeatedly to select RESET.
[5] Press STANDBY/ON to confirm your selection and set this unit to the standby mode.
This procedure completely resets all parameters of this unit including SET MENU parameters. However the advanced setup menu parameters will not be effected. How do I reset my yamaha receiver RX V463
Disconnect power cord to your receiver and wait about 3 to 5 minutes before do this step
If you can find on the back side of your receiver use to have a small button recess hidden behind the back cover, use a small paper clip push this this button.
Another way if you can not find the button, disconnect the power cord about 15 minutes may reset all your programs in receiver memory.
When my Sony Bravia KDL52V5100
How connected? Audio, video or all?
Isolate each cable at the TV end to see if one is implicated. Then reconenct the cable and isolate the receiver end of the same cable(s). If it's the same with ANY cable attached maybe you have a different ground reference between the TV's power source and the Yam's. It could also be higher up the video food chain, like the Cable Box.
If it turns out to be one signal cable, consider if you actually NEED whichever one it might be. The TV only NEEDS the composite video IN for managing the receiver. All other video could be shot straight in from whatever source it comes from.
Shipping audio FROM a TV to a hi-fi is oxymoronic. IT probably can be routed straight from each Video device straight to the Yam.
I personally do not run either medium to any device that doesn't enhance it. Extra cabling and conenctions add expense and opportunities for problems.
When i run the test tone on my system when i try
Hi,
The main reason of this fault is that your output IC goes to overload. When you increase the volume it can't handle the load(speaker) because it is already faulty. To isolate the trouble try to disconnect the speaker. If the symptom still there high chance that it is for replacement. If the symptom gone you have a shorted in speaker wire or speaker itself.
Hope I helped you.
Thanks for using Fixya.
I turn it on, after about 5 sec delay,it turns
Hello
OK, the problem you are experiencing is most likely due to one of the following reasons:
Have a look at what is explained below, and then diagnose the problem using the correct solution provided. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any assistance.
The fist reason why this might be happening, and is indeed the most common reason for this problem. If the unit is still in the warranty period, you will need to take it back to point of purchase, because if you open up the unit, you will loose the warranty. If the unit is out of the warranty period, you can try opening it up. Use a paint brush to gently dust all the components off. I find that a can of compressed air works great after you are done with the paint brush. Have a good look at the fan and the heat sink as well. These are the 2 main cooling components, if the unit overheat, it is likely to shut down.
Secondly;
The other reason for a unit to randomly shut down can be a short on the circuit board. Remove all speaker wires an plug it back in separately and see if one of the channels causes the unit to power down. Does the display show a specific error code?
Lastly it might just be a faulty capacitor. If the capacitor heats up, it will cause a short circuit and this will cause the unit to power down.
In the last two steps, i will suggest you take the unit to a professional to get the short sorted out. Try out the first step and let me know if you need any further assistance.
Kind regards

I have a yamaha, natural
It indicates an output load problem, dis-connect the speaker wires from the back of receiver. Next power on and turn the volume right down, if the unit runs, check for shorts in the speaker wires and speakers. But if it still shuts down "with speakers and wires dis-connected" one or more of the audio output ic's is shorted and will need a professional to assess the item.
I cant get my receiver
use a multitester to prove that fuse is not open, if it is ok there some problem with its power supply.
