Mine did the same thing where the screen would go black for a few seconds and then the picture and sound came back. I would try (1) switch HDMI cables, (2) try a different HDMI input in the back of the receiver, (3) try different input in the back of the TV. None of these seemed to work with mine. I finally ended up running the cable box direct to the TV and only run the audio through the reciever via coax or digital. No more problems. I think the HDMI inputs in the back of the reciever have a problem continuously carrying the signal if it is the leaset bit weak.

DTS-HDMA and Dolby TrueHD cannot be passed to your receiver via bitstream on the PS3. DTS-HDMA cannot be decoded either so you're out of luck there.
Dolby TrueHD can be decoded internally on the PS3 assuming your firmware is up to date. Set the Blu-ray HDMI output to PCM and you can then pass it to your receiver.
If this doesnt work, do a system update on your PS3.

main board fault, its input feed on the board might be failing, it could also be a failing capacitor, you would need to open it up to have a look and see if there are any capacitors failing.

Hello, I am sorry about your issue. Did you make any changes to the output resolution on the Wii. The output must be at 480i for the receiver to up-convert to HDMI. If there is a problem with the receiver I suggest a work around by connecting the component [red,blue,green] video outputs to the TV and the audio connections [red, white] to the receiver. I am sorry about your issue,. If the reset did not resolve your issue the receiver would need to be serviced. It if was purchased from an authorized seller less than 2 years ago it would be under warranty. Thank you. Onkyo USA

If you can't resolve the issue yourself, try resettingthe AV receiver before contacting your Onkyo dealer.To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults,turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR]button, press the [ON/STANDBY] button. "Clear"will appear on the display and the AV receiver willenter Standby mode.Note that resetting the AV receiver will delete yourradio presets and custom settings.

There is a Onkyo recall or service program being offered. Hi AB, best way to accomplish this would be to go from the TV's audio output to any open audio input on the 606 and just be sure that you assign the source to the input. Please be sure that you have turned on RIHD in the setup menu under Hardware and HDMI as that will set ARC to AUTO. Please also note that you will want to make sure that the HDMI cable going from the output of the receiver is connected to the HDMI input on the TV that shows ARC. Perhaps you just use a cable like this: use the tulip plugs and plug them into the AUX of the amplifier. Then at least you can play the music via the receiver.

Have you tried powering it off fully (holding on/off button until it switches off) then leave it for 30 seconds, and switch it on again. hope this help.
