So I have problem when I am trying to network print with mac computer to sharp mx 2300n printer. My mac can find sharp mx 2300n printer, but when I send file to be printed sharp mx 2300n says that he hasn't got a single file that needs to be printed.
so where is problem. I have mac os x 10.5.4 as my operating system.
note I have also windows xp computer and it can print with out problems at all. So why my mac computer cannot print?

Previous employee left with all passwords, and cannot contact to recover them. Need to modify network (alter static IP address and subnet mask), but cannot see any way into that setting, other than (I assume) via the "administrator", for which we dont know password (tried 00000000, 12345678, etc, etc..).
Is there a maintenance mode through which we can re-set the admin password (and I assume wipe out email address book).. but anyhting is better than nothing.
Got in with random trialling passwords for the Administrator... finally found the default password for Administrator on the Sharp MX2300N was "admin". Should have known...
Got in, set up the IP's and away we go again. Did not have to go in with any maintenance mode or re-setting the whole system.

My mx2300n is giving me error cod L4-31...what does this mean and how can i correct the problem.
Can this error be reset so i can continue printing even for a couple hours?
The paper exit cooling fan is not working. Reboot machine, if the code comes back, you'll probably have to get the fan replaced. The fan is one of the two located over the right side door.

We just got an MX-2300N (a few hours ago to be exact) and are trying to set it up. When we try to set up the SMTP and POP3 server we get the error: "ERROR[3332]: Connection to SMTP server test failed." The Details are: "(POP3)Connection failed." The tech from the company we bought it from can't figure it out. We are using a Linux server running sendmail for our email. Could that be what's causing the problem? We've tried different usernames but we always get the same error. Our email itself is working fine so we know the server is working. Thanks for your help.
I had the same issue the other day when installing one of these machines.
I find it alot easier to enter the details into the machine from it's web interface if you aren't already.. (Simply open your web browser and navigate to your copiers IP address).
If you ping the domain name of your mail smtp server and just get the servers i.p address and enter into the smtp box it should work. The particular one i used didnt need authentication either, give it a whirl and see how it goes.

Its a cause by continuous misfeeding. You better find the cause of that problem.
to cancel the code press program key(P), asterisks, clear key, program key . when the stand by for simulation code appears type 14 to cancel the trouble code.

Sharp MX-2300N with error code H3-00. . how do I fix it?
Ensure you are in COPY mode
press # * C * ( one after the other, fairly quickly)
when the screen changes enter the number 14 on the keypad
press the B&W start button
press 1 for Yes when the question displays
press thw CA button
machine will re-boot and fault should clear. If it doesnt you need a service engineer. This is a fuser temperature fault

Ok so the DK code means that the Black drum counter has reached its limit
To clear this you need to clear this easy you want
# , * , c , *
To enter service mode
Type in code 24 press start
Then you want sub code 07
Then you can select what you want to clear so the bk drum unit
Execute this yes then press the CA key the machine will restart and away you go
I also do advise that you service representative comes along at some point to check the machine it could need parts because if you stretch the life of parts your machine could become unreliable... But that is up to you.

WHAT IS THE CODE
FK1 refers to the maintenance life counter for the fuser unit.
The fuser rollers have a fixed life count & when that count is reached FK1 is displayed. If the rollers are worn they should be replaced but if they are ok you can reset the fuser maintenance counter in SIM 24-4 FUSER UNIT
