Hi,
This is a common problem with this set. There are two small tricks that might work.Unplug from power supply and let the battery drain out completely and restart it after few hours.If you have already tried that, then attach the GPS to the computer and see if your computer recognizes it. If that is not the case, unfortunately, this is a firmware problem and the unit needs to be re-flashed. You need to send the unit to Nextar for firmware reloading.

Not finding new address when traveling
not all map/address info is on any GPS, there are mistakes in the software map program, this is a common complaint, also map software that is more then one year old is out of date as well.
How do you update nextar x4-t if the this model is
Well, that is going to be near impossible.
You can TRY, with no guarantee, to find out what map company makes the maps for your Nextar. It's either IntelliNab or Odyssey.
Then you would have to load new map data direct from those map companies onto your SD card and pray it works.
From experience it usually ends up crashing the GPS. If Nextar doesn't offer an update, then you're probably out of luck.

yes but in most cases the cost of repair exceeds the cost of this entry level basic GPS
How to restart your gps
it is not the GPS hardware that controls thi it is the mapoping software and all are different. but the clue is to search the settings for where it wants to have a poiunt of origin. it usually has something like set you your home address or point of origin This then opens up in the correct State of where you want it to commence from
Nextar gps
Sounds like a software problem. Do you have a backup of the software? This can sometimes happen when you install updates. If no backup of the software then you need to contact the manufacturer or find someone wih the same software to back your up.
