Where is the spark module in viking vdsc4876gss?

Hi, I need production date to confirm but the part I found for this is PA020048 and it located in the rear of the unit If you pull out this unit, remove the rear panel, its located on the left side, mid way down. We have a viking cook

Hi,
Some units have a dead man switch, which means that if the filters are not in place correctly the blowers will not operate. Its a safety thing to prevent little ones from dropping toys into a running blower. Double check the filters placement, if the filters are in the proper location than I would look at the power to the blower unit. The vent has two jobs, (1) to raise and lower, (2) to turn on the blower unit once in the full up position. If this is not the case, the upper switch in the vent system has failed. If you already confused, you will need to call a Viking expert to correct this problem. Its not difficult but can be time consuming.
I hope this helps
I have seen this problem twice and found the filters were the problem, rarely replace blower motors.. I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

I have a six burner

there is the possiblity that you have a switch that is stuck as well i had a ge cafe that when you turned on one burner all burners would spark after along process of replacing the spark modulator and every ignitor in the unit i used a voltage meter on the wiring and found that power was going past one switch to the ingitor when the switch had red that it was off after taking the switch apart i had found that on the inside of the switch the mteal contact at one point had arched and was fused to the other side so when you turned on any switch the power would also run through that switch that even though it showed it was off it was still on on the inside of the switch if you are not used to conducting electrical tests on an appliance i would ask that you call a technician this is a very elaborate testing process and should not be carried out by a non trained indiviual if you have any further questions message me back and when we conclude this chat please remember to rank how this opinion has helped as well thanks again

We have a 36" sealed-burner

Hi,

As this is not a problem with all he 4 burners, this would mean the ignition control module is fine. I seems to be an issue with ignitor switch or ignitor themselves. Sometimes, it could be due to wiring harness.Try wiggling all of the ignitors first, pulling them away from the burners. Pulling up on them a bit makes them easier to wiggle and see, if that helps.

You could use it until the service comes. However, my advise would be to call a professional as soon as possible as if it might be a harness problem and could cause the same issue to the other 2 burners. DO NOT light the burners with a match.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

the issue is a bad gas regulator... some chance you have lp gas unit instead of a natural gas.

plus you have a defective switch for one of your ignition handles

Our cooktop is 4yrs. old it has 6 burners the 4 on

Greetings,
The question is did they both go together...if so, it may be the spark module. This is the electronic brain that controls the spark...if not both together, it could be the burner ignitor or not knowing your model# ..it could be the electronic burner valve (if equipted) on your model..they work by the movement of your burner knob...it connects the spark at a certain spot while turning on the gas burner..There is also the ignitor that sparks to lite your burners, but usually they do not go bad often, but can go bad...troubleshooting these type of problems are not easy unless you have an understanding of what model your working on..I hope I have been helpful and if so, please let me know...Thank you, Bruce Denton

Viking pro 6 burner cooktop igniter won't stop

Do not attempt if your stovetop is hot, you will get burned!!

This is an easy fix, the problem is your burners aren't lined up properly. Remove the iron grates (what your pots rest on) and the burner cap (the round black top on the burner) and finally the burner base (the round golden colored piece resting on the stainless stovetop). If you flip the base over you will see that it is keyed, meaning there is a grove that fits the indentation on the stove top. When you replace the base make sure to line the grove up with the indentation. If it's not flush with the stove top, slowly twist the round burner base until it falls into place. That's it!

Hi 3 of my 6 gas burners won't light. Can you

I had the same problem and was about to call for service, but I decided to try this: I took the brass rings where the gas comes out and soaked them in a good bbq grill cleaner and then brushed them all off. I took a long toothpick and cleaned out each hole in the ring well. Then I put some of the bbq cleaner into the ring on the cooktop where the brass rings sit to clean out the accumulated cooking junk. I brushed them well and used a toothpick around the ignitors to clean off the junk. At first, none of them worked (cause they were still wet I think) but after careful drying and a few moments all of the burners are now working fine. Im sure this saved me a couple hundred dollars and took me an hour.

How do I clean a Viking griddle that hasbeen

I use a product called Greasecutter Plus by ECOLAB, it makes the griddle look brand new, gets everything off. You just spray it on and let it set for a little bit then it wipes clean.
