The dual inlet water valve has a failed solenoid on the hot side.

try checking the where the water hoses connect that water valve is where the water is shut off, turn off the water facuet undue the hoses and look inside the valve does it have calcium buildup? or sand in it? if it does you will have to pull the water valve to clean it in order to get it to work correctly. HI there.This sounds like the centre bearing & seal are worn causing noise & water leak.It's normally called a Hub & Seal Kit.It is quite an involved job & without the right tools it would probably cost somewhere around $300 upwards to have repaired.Very good quality machine & worth while repairing.Try to avoid useing the machine until repaired as you could cause electrical short due to water leaking.

try to raise the drain hose so it is at the same level as the control panel but do not pull out of the wall.then re start your machine

Without any knowledge regarding the machine, where you got it, stored it, garage sale, etc. - there shouldn't be no danger in trying to operate it. Worst case scenario? You plug it in, turn it on, and the circuit breaker trips. If this is the case, then you most likely have a bad motor. I wouldn't assume its an old motor, and replace it before giving it a try. You're basically better off trying what I said first. If not, I'd look into a garage sale, want ads, craigslist, etc. for another one. I'm not sure what your situation is, but there are some very good deals out there for some rarely used ones. But to answer your original question? I used a tie down strap, I put one hook under the lip of the agatator on one side then the other hook 180 degrees opposite the first, grabbed both straps and lifted it right off the drive bell. Really easy. Good luck Don

check the drain tab or the drain tube, see if there is any material that carry a grease, there is no way that the grease will come out from the motors because there is no direct contact with water, or maybe you were able to wash a clothes with grease, if thats the case then you gonna need detergent soap and scotch clothe to clean the tab and the tubes

Read users manual check spin speed, and water level, usually this is caused by the wrong spin speed or overloading the washer

You should be able to get a replacement agitator from partselect.com or repairclinic.com. look on line for an agitator however How old is the washer, would you give me the serial number.

Are You postive the motor is bad . Have you checked if it is geting power to the motor or does the motor hum when trying to start .

check motor amp draw pulling too much amps for circuit

Yes, good diagnostics and summary. Don't guess with control boards for exactly the reason you stated. Call for service, you need the correct diagnosis and warranty on the part and the service call. There are indeed expensive and not for guessing.
