How do i remove the agatator on a awm593w washer
I used a tie down strap, I put one hook under the lip of the agatator on one side then the other hook 180 degrees opposite the first, grabbed both straps and lifted it right off the drive bell. Really easy. Good luck Don
Getting grease or oil spots on clothes when
If you get grease-like marks on your clothes after a laundry cycle, and they wash out in the next load, don't despair. It's a sure bet they're caused by detergent and fabric softener that have congealed on the underside of the agitator or along the top edge of the washer basket.
To eliminate the problem, first clean any crud from the gap along the top of the washer basket. Then remove the agitator and clean the gunk off the underside. Since the agitator removal procedure varies by manufacturer, go toallplianceguru.com and search for your make and model. After youve cleaned the agitator, reinstall it and fill the tub with hot water. Next, dump in 8 oz. of washing machine cleaner (Washer Magic is one brand; buy fromamazon.com or applianceparts stores) and run it for a full cycle without any clothes. That should eliminate the problem. If not, repeat the procedure.
Happy Holidays
Hi,
The washing machine that I have has stopped
first place we start is checking the lid switch to make sure its working slowly lift tub lid lower slow and you should here a click if not its snapped if yes have it checked to see if blown. appart from that it would be an internal fault the capacitors in these machines dont last too long
Cold water trickles in and fills up slowly
You either have a water pressure/flow problem or the inlet screen in your inlet valve is clogged. Remove the cold water hose and use a bucket to check if you have good pressure and flow. If that is good, look and clean the inlet valve screen for debris. Hope this helps.
THE MACHINE DONT TAKE OR
The dual inlet water valve has a failed solenoid on the hot side.
Visit repaircenter.com and enter your full model number to see/order the valve.

Machine making loud noise on spins cycle
Well, the only time the washer (speedqueen) is noisy on spin is if one or both the bearings are faulty. Normally when you get a leak, it means the hub/flange and seal kit need replacement and this also includes the top bearing because when soap suds leak past the seal assembly it drips directly onto the bearing. The acidic properties in the soap suds eats the grease in the bearing which ends up becoming defective. One can also get an anoying squeek if a bottom base gasket is worn or removed. This would be audible even on wash cycle. Conclusion, check the bearing on top of gearbox.
It didn't fill up water.
try to raise the drain hose so it is at the same level as the control panel but do not pull out of the wall.then re start your machine
Hello. I have a commercial Speed Queen top load
try checking the where the water hoses connect that water valve is where the water is shut off, turn off the water facuet undue the hoses and look inside the valve does it have calcium buildup? or sand in it? if it does you will have to pull the water valve to clean it in order to get it to work correctly. Let me know if you need more help and thanks for using fix-ya.
Making noise when spinning
HI there. This sounds like the centre bearing & seal are worn causing noise & water leak. It's normally called a Hub & Seal Kit.It is quite an involved job & without the right tools it would probably cost somewhere around $300 upwards to have repaired.Very good quality machine & worth while repairing.Try to avoid useing the machine until repaired as you could cause electrical short due to water leaking.
NOT USED IT IN 5 YEARS CAN i USE OR WILL I BURN OUT THE MOTOR
Without any knowledge regarding the machine, where you got it, stored it, garage sale, etc. - there shouldn't be no danger in trying to operate it. Worst case scenario? You plug it in, turn it on, and the circuit breaker trips. If this is the case, then you most likely have a bad motor. I wouldn't assume its an old motor, and replace it before giving it a try. You're basically better off trying what I said first. If not, I'd look into a garage sale, want ads, craigslist, etc. for another one. I'm not sure what your situation is, but there are some very good deals out there for some rarely used ones. But to answer your original question? No, you shouldn't burn the motor out unless it was bad to begin with. Good Luck! Feel free to contact me again if you have any further questions. - Jim
