HI.When you try to plugged it In and the knobs are not working then possibility the control circuit connecting the knob outside does not engaged properly.The control knob that connects inside might as well been busted.Here are the steps that might be helpful. 1.Try to open both side of the oven. 2.If the motor is working and the turntable is turning then there is no problem with the motor. 3.Check the control inside and try to check and observe if the selector/knob outside does change whenever you turn the knob outside. 4.Check also the fuse inside the oven.It has an oblong shape glass covering with a lead inside. 5.If the control connection got busted which I suspect is the problem then have it fixed and soldered properly. Consider the studs as I I add 2 2x4's like in an H with second 2x4 below the cenre bar in the H adjust both to the spaces needed for your mounting crews if it came with a template use it....I am not a carpenter but It Is what I would do

On page 8 of the installation manual I found, it shows that the oven can be vented to the outside. You can view it at this link:

In the manual it describes three methods of venting: Room, Roof, and Wall. It also gives guidance on how to properly install the duct work.

Here are the steps to remove the door cover from the door of your LG Microwave model LMHM2017ST:

1. Unplug the microwave from the power source.
2. Open the microwave door and locate the four screws on the inner edge of the door.
3. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the four screws.
4. Carefully separate the outer door panel from the inner door panel.
5. You will now see the door cover attached to the outer door panel.
6. Use a flathead screwdriver or plastic pry tool to gently pry the door cover off of the outer door panel. Start at one corner and work your way around the edge.
7. Once the door cover is removed, you can replace it with the brushed silver cover from the new door.
8. To reassemble the door, simply snap the new cover onto the outer door panel and then reattach the outer door panel to the inner door panel using the four screws you removed earlier.

Make sure to be careful when removing the door cover, as it can be fragile and may break if handled roughly.

Question edited for clarity. It depends where you live? In the UK, the fuse is in the wall plug. In the US and other countries it _may_ be at the rear where the mains lead goes in. Sometimes they pull out, sometimes there is a small screw cap. Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Building Materials to LG Microwave. Take into an LG Service centre for repair. They are sealed by security screws and are dangerous inside. You won't be able to get parts.. If it is a counter top microwave and cost $60, just buy a new one as they are a disposable item.
