I forgot my passcode to unlock my iphone

It depends on the severity and the settings you have given the iPhone and whether you have the computer that you synced your iPhone with... Here's the full explanation. I would recommend reading the second paragraph first, but the solution if you really forgot your password is in the first paragraph.
==If you have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present. Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

"If you enter the wrong passcode too many times, you'll see a message that says "iPhone is disabled" and to try again later. If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It  can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode."
The full article can be found here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212

==If you don't have the computer you synced your iPhone with==
If you don't have the original computer the iPhone synced with, the only solution is to force your iPod Touch into recovery mode and then restore it. You will lost all the data on the iPod Touch, but after this method is done, everything will work. You can find the steps to solving this problem here:

How to make iPhone ringtone on Windows 7, Vista or XP

This guide will show you how to make iPhone ringtones using songs on your iTunes music library right from your Windows PC without installing any application (except for iTunes, of course) and without registering to any website or any premium text services. That means, everything is FREE!

Everything is done directly on your computer, you can do this even without internet connection.

This is for all iPhones (iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G or older) and for all iOS versions.

Here's what you need:
  • Computer running on Windows 7, Vista or XP with iTunes installed
  • Song(s) on your iTunes music library
Note: You don't need your iPhone yet until you're done making your ringtone and are ready to sync.

If you don't see the Ringtones list on your sidebar, don't worry. It will show up after you're successful in creating your first one.

Procedures:
  1. Open iTunes (from your PC) and select any song from your music library.kid_ant.png
  2. Right-click on your chosen song then click on Get Info.kid_ant.png
  3. Click on the Options tab, at the top of info window.kid_ant.png
  4. Look for Start Time and Stop Time, and copy whatever is written in the Stop Time box (which is the full length of the song) to avoid messing up the original copy, coz you're gonna need to put it back later.kid_ant.pngOn the video, the original length of my song is 5:48.055, but ringtones for iPhones could not comprise the full length of the song, it must only be around 1 to 30 seconds (though I'm not sure if 30+ sec will still work).kid_ant.png
  5. Shorten the song to acceptable limit (1 to 30 sec.).kid_ant.pngOn the video I used the first 9 seconds, by changing only the Stop Time from 5:48.055 to 0:09.000.kid_ant.pngYou may also choose the middle part of any song, say you can set the Start Time at 1:23.456 (or any time of your choice) and the Stop Time at 1:54.321 (or any time of your choice).kid_ant.png
  6. Click on OK to apply the changes.kid_ant.pngkid_ant.png
  7. Select the same song, click on Advanced from the Menu bar at the top of iTunes Window, then click on Create AAC version.kid_ant.pngNotice that the AAC version has shorter time than the original one.kid_ant.png
  8. Modify the original copy back to its full length (noted on step 4), then click on OK.kid_ant.png
  9. Right-click on the AAC version, then click on Show in Windows Explorer. A folder will open showing your two songs in file form, the original copy having the .mp3 file extension, and AAC version with .m4a.kid_ant.pngIf you cannot see the file extensions, Go to Control Panel>Folder Options>View (tab)> and from there, remove the check beside the option saying Hide extensions for known file types. Click on OK to apply the changes. (Watch the video for clearer instruction.)kid_ant.png
  10. Change the .m4a file extension to .m4r.kid_ant.pngYou may also change the name, but that's up to you. The important thing is to change the file extension.kid_ant.png
  11. Then Windows will ask:kid_ant.png87d54cb.jpgkid_ant.pngJust click on Yes.kid_ant.png
  12. Double-click on the modified file to add it to your ringtones list, and you're done!
The only thing you need to do now is to sync ringtones so you can use them on your iPhone.

WARNING-BEFORE YOU SYNC
Syncing ringtones will affect the music library on the iPhone, so before you click the sync button, be sure to transfer all your purchased songs first (from iPhone to PC) so no song will be deleted. Or better yet, do this only when you're working on the computer where: you save all your songs, or; you regularly sync your iPhone.

Notes:
This guide is intended only for iPhone users, because iPhones do not accept file types other than .m4r as ringtones.

This guide is intended only for Windows users. The guide for Mac users is written separately, with its own video.

I have a problem to

Hi,

As with much to do with the iPhone, there's a bit of a trick to getting this working smoothly so you can have control over your iPhone music, while keeping it as darn easy to work with as possible. The answer? Create a custom playlist for your iPhone music library.
Let me show you how to do it - it's pretty darn easy.
Pop into iTunes and choose File --> New Playlist. Now rename it to something logical: I use "iPhone Sync":
itunes-playlists-iphone.png

Now you can just drag and drop music from your iTunes library (in iTunes, needless to say) into this new playlist. When you're ready, you'll see a bunch of music happily ensconced in the playlist (remember, it's all just "pointers": the actual music files are still safely in the main music library, so if you delete something from a playlist , you haven't deleted the original music file itself):

At the bottom of the iTunes window it shows you how many songs are in the playlist, along with the size and total playing time.
At this point, you need to plug in your iPhone if you haven't already done so. It'll pop up the usual summary screen:

Now click on the "Music" tab and you'll see that you can select "sync playlist". Do that, then select the new iPhone sync playlist you've created

Set things up and that's all there is to it. Now click "Sync" in iTunes and it'll synchronize your playlist with the iPhone music library and next time you click on that ole' "iPod" button on the iPhone, your selections from you music library will be present.
Oh, and one really nice feature of creating this playlist is that you can manage it, adding and deleting songs to your heart's desire, even without your iPhone present. Whatever changes you make are instantly applied to your iPhone music library the very next time you synchronize the device. Suddenly even 8GB might feel small. :-)

I dont know how to set a song as ur ringtone on

  1. Start iTunes and find the song you want to convert. (It must be an MP3.)
  2. Right-click the song and choose Get Info.
  3. Click the Options tab.
  4. Check the Start Time and Stop Time boxes, then enter times for each (no more than 30 seconds apart, the maximum length for a ringtone). I used 0:00 and 0:30, respectively, as "Spit It Out" has a perfect ascending lead-in.
  5. Click OK, then right-click the song again and choose Create AAC Version. You should immediately see a new 30-second version of the song.
  6. Drag that version out of iTunes and into the folder of your choice.
  7. Delete the 30-second version from iTunes and undo the Start Time/Stop Time changes to the original.
  8. Open the folder containing the 30-second AAC file you dragged out of iTunes, then change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r. Double-click it and it immediately gets added to iTunes' ringtone library.
  9. Finally, sync your iPhone. When it's done, you can head into the settings and select your new ringtone.
That's all there is to it! What song(s) will you assign to ringtone duty? Leave a comment and nominate your favorites. Meanwhile, have a happy new year! I'll see you back here in '09.

Can I transfer my NOTES to my MacBook Pro?

You can use iCloud. iCloud automatically uploads the most important data from iPhone to the cloud, and save the data in the cloud. With iCloud, you are able to upload your notes to iCloud and then get them on your Mac computers. You need to enable iCloud on your iPhone, and turn on Notes so that iCloud will upload the notes to the cloud. Then you can go to iCloud.com to view the iPhone notes. If you like, you can email the notes to yourself and download the notes to your Mac. transfer-notes-macbook-pro-oxaxc0rwhkhzilrwacqreyis-5-0.jpg Of course, here are some other methods to help you sync notes from your iPhone to your Mac. http://www.leawo.org/tutorial/how-to-sync-notes-from-iphone-to-mac.html
