Draining during wash cycle, so wash cycle does not
Hi, thanks for using FixYa.com. I suspect you may have a siphon problem. This dishwasher must have some type of an air break or a high loop in the drain path. Try lifting the drain hose up above where it drains into the sink or wherever it drains to. Tie it there with a zip tie or wire. Just make sure it is higher than the drain hookup area.

Either:
- the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller. Disassemble and clean pump if necessary.
- motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something
stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor
itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor
during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,

My dishwasher runs 2 hours
That means that the machine does not detect that one condition to continue the cycle is met.
Sometimes
when this happen unesperience repairers replace the timer board , an
expensive part that rarely fails. The timer board must be replaced only
after everything else is tested, the problem is usually a sensor, or a
faulty part that causes the condition to advance not being reached.
In your case, if dishes are clean , then filling heating and recirculating are OK, problem is likely the drain system not stopping, this is fixed replacing first the pressure switch, then checking pump and timer board.
If drain is OK, and machine hangs on drying (only self drying models), then replace dryness sensor or thermostat.
Check also that there is water pressure from the house line, and that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked.
The
door switch must be tested just in case the problem is caused by a
defective door switch cutting off randomly with vibrations and causing the cycle to delay. This is
tested jumping its contacts and running a controlled cycle.
All tests must be done with power off.
Try first tripping the circuit breaker and check the drain well, cleaning it and removin blockage. If that does not fix the problem call the support number listed on the user manual to have the appliance repaired.

I have standing water when
1. Drain blockage or kinked hose would be a good starting point. Check the d/w's housing the drain hose and the connection that goes to the sink. 2. The pump itslef could be in the running. 3. I would check to see if your unit has a drain valve it could be partially clogged.

Top wash arm doesn't spin.
Hi,
This is usually due to restrictions from debris in the sump area of the pump, it will not allow enough pressure from the pump to spin the upper arms. I have put together some instructions on cleaning this on your model, follow the link below and let me know if it was helpful.

Whirpool DU1055xts water does not drain after wash
Hi,
There is a fourth screw under the spray arm. Here are some instructions I put together to clean out the pump. But I do not think this will help the drain. The drain hose or drain pump could be restricted.
The best way to find the restriction is work backwards. Start at the sink where the dishwasher drain hose connects, take that connection apart and try to drain into a bucket. If it does not drain the work your way back to the dishwasher checking at every connection point.
This link will be for the pump cleaning.

The door would not shut. We checked all around
Hi,
Lowes is right regarding the parts needed.
First check the strike part is ok - that's on the body of the machine not the door.
Unplug the machine.
Remove the front door panel by removing the visible screws on the door.
Check the door catch for broken parts, and order those required before using again,
It is a fairly easy fix once you've identified the part required.

Dishwasher was running and power went off
It is mounted on the main control board inside the door. It is a white square on the side of the board housing. To check it you will need an ohm meter. If it is bad there will be no continuity. Make sure the power is off before you do this! Good luck.
