I have a model #DU1055XTSQ2 It has no lights on, it will come on for about 30 seconds to go off and will come on again for several mintues. Do you think it could also be the thermal fuse?
Hello.Everyone expects their dishwasher will work correctly.
They can become nonchalant about it until one day it does not function.
Sometimes the dishwasher doesn't drain as expected. Most people
immediately call the plumber when their dishwasher doesn't work. There
are several things you can try at home before having to pay an
expensive service fee.
1 Check the basics. Make sure that the dishwasher has actually
finish the cycle. Your dishwasher will not drain until the end of the
cycle. Many things may have interrupted the cycle. Check circuit
breaker and reset it if appropriate. Also check the fuse. It is
possible that you could have tripped a circuit have way through the
cycle. Make sure the door is properly closed. Ensure you have chosen a
cycle on the dishwasher. It is amazing the problems children could
accidentally cause, that are easy fixes.
2 Remove any excess food at the bottom of the dishwasher. The best way
to do this is with your hands. Large food particles can block from
going into the drain. This is also another extremely easy fix to make
your dishwasher to drain.
3 Check to ensure that the hoses are still attached. Use your manual to
find where the hoses are. If they are not attached the owner's manual
will give you instructions on how the attach the hoses to your specific
dishwasher.
4 Attempt to declog the line. Disconnect the hose from under your sink
and check to see if there are any clogs. Use a hanger or towels, remove
the clog from the hose.5
Remove the dishwasher basket. Again refer to your owner's manual for
specific instructions.Normally you will remove it with a screwdriver.
Make sure to work slowly. As you take the basket apart, you will be
able to see if it needs to be cleaned. If there is dirt or debris, you
can clean the parts with a rag or paper towel. After cleaning these
parts, you can replace the basket.
Thanks.

DU1055XTSQ3 only HI-TEMP WASH, SANI RINSE, HEATED
Hi
First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump
assembly that is located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue
returns after its cleaned then it means that the control board has gone bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The dihwasher will not start and the clean light
If this is a Whirlpool manufactured dishwasher (such as the one pictured), the blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that usually indicates a component problem or program malfunction. If a component is defective, it is commonly attributed to the heating cycle or thermostat related problem. To rule out component failure, or program error, the following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem and possibly avoid a service call:
http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575752-dishwasher_blinking_clean_light
Keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.
NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.
In many cases, I found this to be a momentary glitch in operation. If the problem keeps reoccurring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.
NOTE: Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. If the tech sheet is not located behind the lower toe panel, it should be affixed somewhere under the dishwasher. I have also found them located inside the inner door panel.
If you still need assistance, please post back and let me know

Water will not drain after completion
Check the bottom of the dishwasher (where the water drains to) and check there's nothing blocking it? Maybe give the filter a rinse to clear it.

Whirlpool DU1055XTSS dishwasher is totally dead as
Hi,
If you have power going to the dishwasher, meaning the breaker, switches, wiring and fuses in the home are okay, the most common cause for your symptoms is the thermal fuse.
The thermal fuse is a small disk shaped device that is behind the control panel on the right side it is snapped on to the electronic module. The part number for your model is W10258275

Glasses in top rack are covered by an opaque film.
If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.
Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

Where do you put in
You might try using vinegar instead of jet dry. It breaks up the hard water stains very well. Simply add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle.

The dishes wont come clean
Check that the top rotating arm jets are not block. These often get blocked by pieces of food or other solid particles, this is the normal problem.
