The inside of my Bunn

The tank is sealed, however, you can clean it easily by pouring 1 quart of white vinegar into the machine with it still turned on and full of water. Let the water sit for 2 hours and then flush out with 8-10 decanters of water.

WEAK COFFEE & NOT HOT ENOUGH

Basing on personal experience (you can find more on Google probably), solutions are:

On percolated (filter) coffee machines:

Check water temp, if water temp is insufficient , most common is scale heating element , faulty element, faulty thermostat.
Check if water is dripping right at the center of the filter, if it is dripping on one side because the orifice is clogged, that can result in weak coffee.
Coffee blend not well distributed on filter basket.

On Espresso machines:

Check water temp, same as filter coffee machines (thermostat element, scale on heating chamber).
Ensure that coffee is filled correctly in the filter cup (fill at level), and well pressed.
Ensure that the coffee mixture that you are using is not too coarse, buy the apposite one for espresso.
Ensure that you are not leaving the machine brewing for a time that is too long, and Italian coffee cup is very small, approximately one regular shot.

On the hob moka pots (espresso, Moka and Bialetti type):

This are the trickiest ones, you need art and practice to get a good espresso with a Moka, but when you learn, the result is better than what you may get with an home electrical espresso maker.
The frame on the hob must be not too strong, and the mixture coarse but well pressed, with water at level tag, or you will get a weak coffee.
On Mokas a good strategy is keeping hob at minimum, and turning up the flame at top when coffee starts coming out.

French and turkish cafetieres:

Ensure that you put enough coffee, water hot enough, and that you left the infusion enough time to get a strong coffee.

Note: insufficient pressure and clogged lines on electric machines never give you a weak coffee, exactly the opposite.
Not pressed mixture always gives weak coffee, but too much pressed mixture may give you coffee with bad taste.

Leaks water from bottom

This is a common problem and presents a danger of electric shock. Do not use the machine. If it is under warranty, call the store where you purchased it and find out where to send it for replacement. If it is not under warranty, your only solution is a new machine. You may want to consider changing brands.

The coffee is very weak.

Make sure the 'vacation' switch is turned on. In addition to the warmer switch on the front of the unit, there should be another switch located on the side/rear of the coffee maker. If that is turned off, the water won't be pre-heated, and you end up with luke-warm water going through the coffee during the brew cycle. If that is not the problem, then there is an issue with the tank heating element and the unit will have to be repaired.

Coffee is hot but weak.

This unit has a sprayer head that might be the problem. Start with the water. Filtered water is best after all, coffee is mostly water. As the water is heated to the optimum degrees it must spend the right amount of time going thru the grounds. The grounds have also an optimal size. We opted to have our own coffee grinder so we can select the right size for the righ taste for our needs. Now, do not go buy bottled water. That is WAY too expensive. Opt for a water filter. There are quite a few. If the water and the grounds are the right combo but still weak coffee call the customer service at Bunn and see what they have to say. Some customers have reported issues to them and a solution might be at hand, or a new sprayer might be needed. Good luck.

Leaks water

There are many possible points that the leak can be.

You need to disassemble the machine and work it without the side panels of course with extra care since power electrical cables are exposed.

In this way with a very good visual check while the machine is in operation you can identify the leaking point and fix it.
