Where can I buy a new reservoir for my cartier lighter

I've seen spare tanks come up on eBay from time to time, for $30 - $50. If not, picking up a beat-up Cartier on the cheap just to remove and use its tank is an idea. Cartier does not sell spare parts of any kind (other than flints), so if your lighter needs a new tank they will probably insist you get a complete maintenance service, which can cost up to $300.

WHERE CAN I GET A RESERVOIR FOR MY CARTIER LIGHTER

The reservoir tank can be the bane of existence for a Cartier lighter owner. Unlike most butane lighters which have gas tanks integral to the lighter, Cartier utilizes a user removable tank. Cartier only warrants the tank for two years. I've also seen tanks that say 12 months. New Cartiers come with one spare tank. I've seen spare tanks come up on eBay from time to time, for $30 - $50. I have a cartier watch and want to know if it is

  • Visit an authorized Cartier watch dealer at a high-end jewelry store. Use a jeweler's loupe to inspect the Cartier logo, the dial, the hour, minute and second hands, color, case back and the movement, which is the small electronic or mechanical device that runs the watch. Also examine the bracelet or strap for future comparisons of Cartiers at other dealers. Obtain a copy of the Cartier sales brochure or catalog and read it.
  • Inspect the movement by asking the seller to remove the case back to view it. It will be engraved with the Cartier name. If the seller balks at the request, don't buy the watch. The seller may have something to hide, according to Spotcounterfeits.co.uk.
  • Consider the heft of the Cartier if you are considering purchasing a watch from an independent seller. Knockoff Cartiers are considerably lighter than the genuine article because they are made with cheap materials. Examine the Cartier logo to see if it's spelled correctly. Knockoffs usually originate from non-English speaking countries where English is not the primary language and workmanship is poor.
  • Drop a tiny bit of water on the crystal. Cartiers feature a sapphire glass crystal, in which the water beads on contact. If the water smears, the crystal is a cheap imitation.
  • Examine the Cartier trademark polished cabochon gemstone on the crown. The stone should be set firmly in the crown but not glued on. Use a jeweler's loupe to look for traces of glue.
  • Examine the Cartier logo of twin Cs on the case back, dial and strap buckle. The logos should be gracefully produced with no rough stamping.

I bought a watch from the charity shop today it is marked on the back with cartier paris 925 plaque or g20m swiss 17050343 can any one tell me about it

I keep saying the same thing on this board; call Cartier and describe the watch to them, you could also take digital photos of it & email them. They are always going to be your best resource for vintage or any other type Cartier watches. You can Google their number. Having said that, your watch seems like it may be a REPLICA ( meaning, fake, I'm sorry) 'Cartier' Argent, which may be worth around $250. It is not a real Cartier. There's no way even a charity shop would sell an authentic Cartier for anything under $1,000. I am sorry to disappoint you, and if you don't feel you can count on my say-so, you are welcome to call Cartier & verify what I've said.

Is the men's diamond wedding ring real serial #0905524

A genuine Cartier ring will be stamped on the back with Cartier's logo, the jewelry's metal type (Au 750 or 750 for 18k gold or Pt 950 or 950 for platinum), the ring size in mm, and a unique serial number. The stamp should be evenly spaced and, of course, free of any spelling mistakes. Best to you

HI I wont to know battery size to my watch must de cartier serial # 901014991

Not a good idea. What starts as a 'simple battery change' could result in $500 in repairs. It is a Cartier! If it is a fake Cartier then by all means destroy it. Just realize that you don't really know what you are doing and you are about to perform brain surgery on a very expensive watch.

How do I change the flint on my Cartier lighter?

I am not familiar with this particular lighter, however, changing flints isn't usually difficult. Could you post a photo of the underside of the lighter? Try turning the lighter upside down. There should be two sections moulded in the bottom of the lighter. One is the refill port you use to fill it with gas, the other will be the adjuster or mount for the flint. The flint holder is usually a Spring loaded tube with the flint mounted at the top end. Carefully unwind the screw or twist cap being careful the spring doesn't suddenly release. This should slide out letting the remains of the old flint fall out. You may need to GENTLY tap the lighter to knock out any dust left by the old flint. Insert the new flint, insert the retaining pin and screw it in until it is finger tight. Screw too tight and you could crush the new flint or damage the screw thread on the retaining pin.
