Go back to basics and find out how call forwarding was set up. From that you should be able to get things working correctly.

You appear to have a portable or self-assemblable carport structure. You can ask the supplier for details, but at a guess, a spiral or curly metal piece with a hook or eye at one end could be an anchor for screwing into the soil to hold the carport down in the wind. Screw these into the ground at the corners and sides, and attach to the building with the rope.

Phone rings, and numbers come up but nobody can hear me. Then after 2 seconds says busy. People on other end say there is a huge screeching sound.

If you plug in a normal, non-wireless phone to your phone jack, do you get the same result?

Hard to know what to suggest unless you tell us the type of phone, the make and model, and what phone service you are hooked up to (normal Telco, IP Based Telco, cell, homemade IP based like MagicJack or other)

As a wild guess, the batteries in your phone may have failed.
