I have tapes with videos on them. I want to put
When you get a blue screen, it is usually an indication of dirty heads. You should try and run a head cleaning tape for about 5 to 10 seconds. Then, try your tape again. If it shows signs of improvement, but still is not all better, run the head cleaner for another 5 to 10 seconds. Repeat as necessary (only running head cleaning tape for 5 to 10 second intervals). The cleaner tapes that we use in our shop are Sony brand....they last a really long time and seem to work the best.
Hope this has helped you.

CANONDC40A camcorder did not properly finalize
Unfortunately, there is probably no way to get anything off the disk (I hate to be the bad messenger). When the disc finalizes, it indexes the disk and writes appendages that make it readible. When this fails, the disk is in nowhere land, so to speak, with a corrupted or incomplete header, etc.
I don't know of a fix for this, but some genius somewhere may have one...stay tuned, I guess.

This can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly or a defective clutch in the take-up spool and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired by a qualified service technician.

I have a Canon ZR90A
The most common cause of horizontal lines during playback is dirty heads/tape path. If you have a head cleaner tape, try playing it for about 5 to 10 seconds and then try your tape again. Repeat as necessary. Try not to run the head cleaner for long periods of time because you may wear down your heads quicker (cleaning cassette is somewhat abrasive). If you do not own a head cleaning tape, I highly recommend purchasing one. Sony (in my opinion) makes the best miniDV head cleaning cassette. We use this brand in our repair shop and they last for years. I have posted a link to the particular tape I am speaking of. Your local camera/camcorder shop may have these for sale.

I have a Canon 7.4V
Instructions:
- Connect an i.LINK (firewire) cable (also known as IEEE 1394) to the i.LINK port on the digital camcorder.
- Connect the other end of the i.LINK cable to the computer. NOTE: The computer i.LINK ports and capture cards may have either 4-pin or 6-pin connections. If your computer only has a 6-pin i.LINK port, then it will be necessary to use a 4-pin to 6-pin i.LINK cable.
- Turn on the digital camcorder by moving the POWER switch to the VTR position.
- Cue the camcorder tape to the beginning of the video footage.
- Turn on the computer. Your computer should recognize your camcorder and automatically install the needed driver.
- Start the video capture software on the computer.
- Begin playing the recorded video in the camcorder.
- Begin importing the video with the capture software. It should now be possible to copy the video using the video capture software if the computer hardware and software are configured correctly.
Hope this has helped you.

Canon power shot sd960 is
there is not such a big tension in the power supply of a camera to cause a short circuit ..but some damage can be done ...the malfunction of the commands may been caused by the water inside causing false connections...my suggestion is to get new batteries if the old ones are ruined...use a hair drier with cold ..I repeat cold air not hot ..and try to blow in every openings you may see...remove batteries..and all ...than if it do not get back ...leave it without batteries and in a warm place to give it time to evaporate all water that may be stuck inside..than try again ... this is the only thing you can do without opening it ...if it do not work you should get it to be seen by a professional if you really think it worth the price ..

I have a Cannon ES55
Check the voltage on the charger, now remove the battery off the cradle and check the voltage that appears on the terminals that touch the battery terminals. If there is sufficient voltage more than the battery voltage it should be good. Now make sure that your battery voltage is good and the battery though NEW has not been inthe shelf for long. If so it would have developed back EMF and will not charge. So check this out. If ther is no voltage a the cam terminals from the adapter then you will need to open and check for the charging circuit, a possible failure of the regulators. Hope you try this out. Good day
