Canon FS11 Flash Media Camcorder - Page 7 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My Canon ZR60 has developed
Hi
when you experience such problems you should disconnect the battery back and the charger, wait a few minutes and hold the power button down for a moment to drain out any remaining power in the unit. Re attach the battery and if needed connect it to the charger, the unit should turn on, if not, there is a internal hardware problem, in order to get it fixed you will have to find a local camcorder repairer, as I feel its too complex for us to attempt to fix over the internet. And since the electronic parts are so small inside the camcorder all you could really do is replace a board, your going to need professional assistance in repairing the camera.
if you have any additional questions or if you need anything else.
let me know,
Thanks,
Ekse

WHERE CAN I FIND THE
The serial number for the Canon Vixia HFR11 is located on the battery compartment door. It is 12 numeric digits and NO letters. I believe you were on the right track with your first try, but you should leave off the "YG" when entering the serial number.

I own a Canon Digital
This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. You can try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

I don't know the serial
Hi,
The serial number of the camera is given on bottom panel of the camera near the tripod socket. (
See attached image)
The serial number can also be found at the battery attachment unit of the camcorder.
Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using

LCD stop to work. I
The main part of the imaging sensor, the CCD, is still good, and that's good news. The LCD could be broken, but it could also have a loose ribbon connector from the LCD display.
The unit will have to be serviced. Get an estimate first, since it's sometimes a better option to just buy a new camcorder.
You can contact Canon to see what they will charge, and here's their site:
http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/support
Another option would be to take it into a local camera repair shop for repair. Again, get an estimate.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

I have Canon DC300 -
Certain brands of dvds can cause problems like this, and so one has to stick with known brands to ensure they work. You can try to clean the laser lens with a qtip and alcohol, and see if that helps. If the camcorder won't finalize it, there's no magic solution to make it finalize.
Try a different brand of dvd, or a known brand that worked before, and record some on it and see if it finalizes- this will tell you whether there's a problem with the camcorder.
If it won't finalize on the new disk, you'll have to have the camcorder serviced.
Get an estimate first, since it can be expensive, and often it's just better to buy a newer one.
Good luck, and hope this helps.

My Canon 2000x will not recharge. It was OK for a
Rechargeable batteries don't last forever. Lithium batteries in particular can fail early if they are allowed to become totally discharged.
The best way to proceed is to buy a new battery, then try to charge it. If it charges and the camera works, problem solved.
If it doesn't charge, then maybe you need a new charger. The battery will not be wasted though, as it is always handy to have a spare.
I usually search Amazon for cheap replacements of these items.
