20 Most Recent Nintendo Mario Kart (Wii) for Wii Questions & Answers

I tried resyncing from the main screen, but one of the wiimotes still didn't work. I read to smack the wiimote facedown in your hand a couple of times, and that worked!!!

Apparently the motion sensor can get stuck inside, although it doesn't totally make sense, because previously when the wiimote didn't steer, it still moved on the screen to choose character, car, etc.

Did it ever work? Or did you just get the disc?

If the game never worked, you may have gotten a defective game disc. Take it back to where you purchased it and they will exchange it.

Sometimes it is difficult to connect with other people as everyone is playing, and no one else is waiting to join. Or there just isnt many people on.
If you dont get any results. Just try going back later.
MarioKart wii does have quite abit of people that play online, but majority of them are already playing in game.

you might have a bad wii remote, because the wii wheel is just a case for the remote to sit in. try playing it without the wheel and see if that works. if you dont have any luck, you need a new wii remote.

You might be able to follow up these problems on nintendo.com. A few newer games like smash bros used a dual layer disc that wasn't being read by some systems if there was some "dirt" on the lens. This could be your situation but I think are several of these issues being discussed on the official site so check them out.

The disc might be dirty, if so use a standard disc cleaner, or a gentle dish soap. or try making a new license

If your Wii is reading other discs fine but not the mario kart disc, then the disc has to be the problem. Look at it in a light and you might see some deep scratches or parts of the disc that have peeled off which is why the system isn't reading the disc.

Regardless, this time buy a new Mario Kart disc that way you know the disc won't be defective and won't be used by anybody else.

Ok so when u first turn on ur wii... after u press a, go to ur messages, and go to where u would compose a message but choose the address book and ur wii code is in it

check that the red and white cables to the television are hooked up properly( correct holes and put in all the way) this happened to us and that was the problem.

You should download the mario kart channle. It will update it atomaticly.

Check your settings and makesure that your internet is working. If not then that is the resone. But if for another resone you must clean your wii out it helped me so go try it.
