If you have brushes and they are worn, then one or maybe two of the brushes can't stay inside the brush holder. They are spring loaded and if worn out can pop out. I took it apart and the bottom blade has slipped off the drive wheel. I put it all back as it should be but as soon as I used it again, the same thing happened. I'm not sure why this is happening, it may be that the motor end of the bottom blade has become slightly bent, so I will be trying to straighten at the weekend.
