There is something terribly wrong here, assuming it is the correct plug ( short reach ) then there has to be something sitting on top of the piston, metallic bits floating around the engine would suggest this machine needs stripping down to see where this has come from, i strongly suggest you do not crank the engine anymore until it has all been checked.

Check and see if the ground wire on the brake is releasing that wire grounds out the coil so it won't start.

possible that the plug connection has come away from the carbon track in the lead could have also press the stop switch to off in the process

Bought brand new! I saved up for this product for awhile since they are pretty pricey. I also own acreage in the Midwest so this tool is much needed. I owe 2 older stihl chainsaws and fs70 trimmer. hard to pull indicates something seized up remove the chain and if that improves the situation , get a new chain and bar If it is still stiff could be that the safety brake is stuck on the clutch drum vapour lock is when the fuel as evaporated off forming a gas space in the fuel line You have a mechanical failure , brake , piston seizure from lack of oil in the fuel
