20 Most Recent Broderbund PrintMaster Gold 16 for PC Questions & Answers

Printmaster gold 16 (2011) was installed on my new widows 8 computer. The files are there but cannot be accesssed withot the program which is not compatible with windows 8. How can I get them? I NEED

I have the print master

All you need to do is download & install Windows XP Mode for Windows 7
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
Once installed you will be able to run all your favorite old programs , if you run into any compatibility issues , right click on the .exe file & select "properties" , compatibility mode , & select the settings your program is known to work with .

After all this if you still can't run the program , try using " virtualbox " or " vmware virtual machine " & install a copy of windows xp as a virtual machine .

Maybe you didn't applied the right settings .
how to use PrintMaster :

Open PrintMaster by double-clicking on the icon on your desktop
Click "New Project." A window will appear offering you various templates, such as "Scrapbook," "Business Card" and "Certificate."
Click on the template you want to use. If you don't want to use a template, click "Blank Page," then click "Next" at the bottom of the window.
Select your page size from the window that pops up.
Use the "Add" drop-down menu to add various things to your project. From here, you can add graphics, colors and textures. Simply click "Add," then select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu. A new window will appear. Click on what you want to add. Once the graphic is added, you'll be able to drag it to wherever you want it on your page.
Click "Crop Object" from the menu on the left-hand side to remove a part of any graphic. Simply click and drag your mouse over the area to select the area to be cropped.
Use layers to move graphics and text either behind or in front of each other. To do this, click "Layout," "Layer," then "Send to Back" or "Send to Front."
Click "Add or Edit Text" to add various portions of text to your document. Choose a font you would like to use from the list, then type your text into the box provided. Click "OK," then move your text wherever you would like it to be.
Click on "File" then "Print" in order to print your PrintMaster project. You'll be able to select the number of copies as well as the size of paper you want to print on.

Why won't my cd Player won't recognize the disc

Hi.

If this happens with a single disk, then the problem is the disk. If the player does not recognise any disk, then it is either a lens problem or a faulty drive. Please get back to me to know more.

I can't convert printmaster files

Hello.

Here are the steps:

1. In Tools/Options/General Options, check the box beside "Optimal Printing Resolution".

2. Go to File/Printer Setup/Printer Setup.

3. Under "Name" select Broderbund PDF Converter v2.10d

4. Next, go to File/Professional Printing.

5. Select "Save As PDF".

6. At the next screen, type the name of the PDF file you want to save in "Project Name".

7. Under "PDF Resolution", select 600 dpi.

8. Click on "Save As". In the next window, browse to the folder in which you want to save the file (for example: My Documents).

9. Click on the "Save" button.

10. PrintMaster will save the PDF file to the folder you selected.

11. Open the file in Adobe Acrobat to make sure all the elements and pages are there and that it looks as expected.

12. Once you are satisfied, upload this file to Print Pelican.

There are two caveats: 1. Because it is made to print cards and calendars to your laser or ink-jet printer, PrintMaster expects page sizes to be standard ones such as 11" x 17" or 8.5" x 11". Custom page sizes (such as 7" x 10") may not work properly. 2. Do not use backgrounds or elements that print to the edge of the page. This is a feature that will not print properly from PrintMaster. Make sure your pages have white margins with nothing printing on them.

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))

PrintMaster 2011, I have vista o/s, HP photosmart

Have you installed the printer's drivers/softwares? Is the printer detected by the computer? Let me know with more details, it not possible to assume since you didn't mention the exact problem, only cannot find my printer by your installed programs isn't enough... First, check the connection and make sure it's detected by the computer, secondly, verify that the correct drivers is installed on your computer.
