American Greetings Creatacard Silver 5.0 will not
Easiest way to try to solve that is to do the following.
1. Go to My Computer and find the cd/dvd drive with the install disk in it.
2. Right click and select explore.
3. Find the installation file
4. Right Click and select properties.
5. Select the compatability tab.
6. Under Compatibility mode check the check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for"
7. In the drop down menu select windows 98
Select the settings and visual theme settings to match the program specs. You may need to repeat this process after the install to allow windows to open the program. Follow the same steps but look for the program file under c:\ program files.
Cannot connect to online projects in american
You have to make sure that you allow your program to access the internet. By default, the firewall is set to block all of your programs. To make an exception:
Click the Start button, go to Control Panel, click Security, and then click the Windows Firewall.
In the left pane, click "allow a program through Windows Firewall."
You have to have an adminstrator account, and you may be prompted for the password at this point.
Check box next to the American Greetings, and then click OK.
The other problem you can run into is with active x controls. Allow programs you trust to run this code, or you will not have full use.
I hope this helped. If you have time, please let me know if this addressed your problem by rating the solution before you go. Thanks for using fixya!

CreataCard Silver 5 will not
Hello. As you know, there are many creatacard programs on the market. Some are designed to operate on the Vista system and some, usually older versions, will not work on Vista. Your CreataCard Silver 5 is one of these versions. For a solution to your problem you have two choices, either go out and purchase a program for Vista, or take your software to another computer that will run it. Often public libraries have a number of computers of different ages, you could check there. Either way good luck with it. Regards and happy holidays, Joe
