Try changing the compatability. Right click on the desktop shortcut for My creata card gold 3 and choose properties from the menu that right-clicking opens. This will open the properties window. There are three tabs near the top labeled "general", "shortcut" and "compatablility". Click on Compatablility. Check the box marked "run this program in compatability mode for:" When you check the box, the drop-down menu below will light up and you can select the system you used previously.

This will most likely work on windows 7. But if it doesn't work, then it means you will need to get a new disc compatible with windows 7.

Make sure it is printed on the disc cover that it is compatible with windows 7 before purchasing it. Or confirm from the seller before purchasing.

As you can see, there is no sollution for that :( you may try right click -> properties -> compatibility tab and run in compatibilty with Windows XP but it doesn't have to work :( Sorry

After uninstalling the program, go to start, Search, for files and folders and put *creatacard gold* in the search box using the asterisks on both sides. Bu sure to delete any files that are found involving creatacard gold7. Then restart your computer. It sounds like you are having a configuration problem. Is the operating system you are using listed on the configuration of the Creatacard Gold program as a operating system that this software will work on?

You could try and reinstall and if using windows, try using the the program compatability wizard found in the accessories folder in the programs folder. This might help make the program work properly. Alternatively, you may have to get a another version of creatacard gold if it does not work with your operating system. Broderbund may have a download on their site to help make your software work on you operating system. Not having any additional details about your issue, I cannot be certain.

I have Createacard 3 installed an running on Win 7 64 bit - however - you have to install XP Mode first which is free from Microsoft if you have Win 7 Professional or Ultimate (not Home). I now have an icon on my desktop that I double click and Createacard 3 loads and works fine.

Sorry, CreataCard Platinum 4 or 8 is not compatible with Win 7.

If a program cannot be run under Windows 7 because of compatibility issues you have to right click on the executable file that will start the application and click Properties. Select Compatibility tab and check the Windows version you know the program worked with before. Do the same for the installer if it wouldn't install. Try running the program in compatibility mode.Simply right click on desktop icon and choose properties.

Look for compatability tab and check mark the correct settings for your program.

Save and close,then try running your greeting card program.

Perhaps the software requires other Windows operating systems. Best to check the requirements to see if your operating system (Windows 7?) is supported. The software may not run on Windows 7.

How to install an XP/Vista program on Windows 7


First of all locate the setup or installer file, this will be either in the contents of a CD/DVD (you have to explore the contents of the CD/DVD) under the name "setup" or a downloaded .exe (executable) file.

Right click on the setup file and select "Properties" from the sub menu.

A Properties windows will appear on screen, click on the "Compatibility" tab.
At the bottom of the tab you will see the header "Privilege Level".

Check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator"

Also at the top of the Compatibility tab you will see "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Check that box and if you have the option select Windows XP (service pack 3).

Click Apply and then OK and install your program.

NOTE: if you have upgraded from Vista Windows XP mode may not be available depending on how you system was configured.

American Greetings Creata Card 4 is a software for PC with Platform: Windows 98 / 2000 / NT / 95.
You do not need drivers to install any software on a PC.

If you are trying to install the above software to your Vista OS, it is not compatible. If you are looking for a patch for Vista, there isn't any from the developer Broderbund because the version is replaced with newer versions.
