At the point of attachment where the hook is attached to the beater shaft, spray hot soapy water from a window spray bottle on the connection. Very hot water is necessary and eventually the water will seep into the locking space and allow you to twist it off. Repeat several times if it fails the first time around.

Hi. My Kenwood Chef A701A - can't control the speed anymore. Can only use it on fast. Any idea what might be causing this and are spare parts available? TIA

There is a Triac that controls the speed. It is probably short circuit. A qualified Electronics engineer with mechanical skills can repair it. Probably a BT139-600.

I have a kenwood chef A701a I have purchased a slicer shredder attachment A729 It will not fit , it looks as if the plastic spindle that fits into port on machine is too long

A701/ A707 Machines (1950-1976) - sadly no attachments are available. It is not compatible.
