How can I open a .pptx password protected file.

Only the "author" of the PPT file knows what password is associated with the file. So, ask the author!

Anything else is an invasion of piracy that the author defined for the document.

If you can run a School then you can manage to buy MS Office too. why don't you use some Linux Operating System which contain application similar to MS Office. And it is Free of cost also.

Have the product key for publisher 2007 but no

    Hi Gillian

MS OFFICE PUBLISHER 2007 PRODUCT ID WITHOUT INSTALLATION DISC

You do not say how came to have the Product key for MS Publisher 2007. If this Product Key originally came from a Microsoft Authorized or other legitimate source with the original installation disc and is actually an unused, unregistered, unactivated, genuine, MS Publisher 2007 Product ID or Activation Code but you have either mislaid or damaged the original disc to which it relates, then you could beg, borrow or buy any MS Publisher 2007 or MS Office 2007 disc with which to install the program, using your code when a code is requested during the installation process. You could borrow a disc from a friend or a workplace. You could go to a local repair centre with a comprehensive software library. You could buy a disc on eBay.

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/installation-and-activation-information-for-2007-microsoft-office-programs-HA010173340.aspx

If you obtained the Product Key you mentioned from a third party, you will have difficulty knowing whether it is genuine, unsed, unactivated and unregistered.

If you were hoping to be able to download MS Publisher 2007 or obtained the Product key you mention from the internet, then you should be aware that Product Full, genuine, licensed versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded. Microsoft have withdrawn downloads and direct sales of MS Office 2007 applicationss, including MS Publisher 2007, the only remaining support services being updates and security patches during Automatic Updates. If there is some obstacle to your using the Product Key you mention, here are some constructive, useful, helpful, practical alternative options to consider instead. One option is to download MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial and install it, carefully following each step:

    Go to:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try

If you do not want to buy or cannot afford a full, licensed copy of MS Publisher 2007 and/or prefer to pursue the downloading option, consider the latest version of genuine, similar free comprehensive Office Suite applications - OpenOffice and LibreOffice- downloadable free, from their original source, at:

    www.openoffice.org

http://www.libreoffice.org/ You can use OpenOffice and LibreOffice simultaneously with MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial. If you delete MS Office 2010 Pro 60-Day Trial, well before the 60 day expiry date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and Restart before downloading and installing it again, it is usually possible to enter into further 60 Day trial periods. If you cannot use the Product Key you mention but are determined to continue using a MS Publisher 2007, then you will have to purchase a full, genuine, unused and licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2_13?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=ms+publisher+2007&sprefix=MS+Publisher

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or sites that are masquerading non-existent MS Office products as camouflage for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services. Even if you do succeed in finding a Product ID or download site that seems to work for MS Publisher 2007, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Activation Code for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

    When i try to install

You need to verify wether you have actually downloaded free version or licenced and if you have downloaded free version then you have to select free version while installation and it will be with less features.

If you try to install full version or try to upgrade after installation it will as for the security code.

Purchase a USB memory-stick, and take it and the Microsoft Publisher CD/DVD disk to a computer that does have a CD-drive. Copy all the files from the disk to the memory-stick.
Take the memory-stick back to your computer, and install from the files on the memory-stick.
