Try this: File Menu >> Print >> Printer Name box for final print >> Advanced Print Settings >> Graphics and Fonts > Fonts >> select Select only publication fonts

You must have a set of discs for MS Office.

Insert the first disc into your PC and after a short while a a message should appear showing what is on the disc.

One of the options should be "install" or "setup". Click on this and follow the instructions.

I haven't used word pad but you may be able export the file in s format that is suitable for word to import.

Some digging may be required. Find out what format word pad can export files (i.e. what the .AAA on the end of a file) and look at word, click on "file" and then "open" . Opposite the "filename" box is one that says "word" initially but is a drop down menu showing what types of files that can be read. If there is a format that word pad can output that ms word can read, hen you are in business.

If you downloaded the product legitimately from an authorized vendor, you should have received the necessary key as well. Contact their customer service department to find out how to get the key.

If you downloaded the product from some site such as a "warez" site or through a file-sharing network, you have a pirate copy and can't legally obtain a key without buying one from Microsoft. We at Fixya can't help you violate copyright laws by providing a key.

May I suggest you look into OpenOffice as an alternative if you don't want to spend money on the MS Office program? It's completely free, is comparable to Office in its features and can read and save files in many formats (including MS Office).

You can get this from the inside of your original package. If not, contact Microsoft. You may have to send the original disk in with a small fee for a replacement including new matching key.

If you are making an illegal copy, the key will not help because if the package is already registered to the original buyer, it will be locked out for your use.

You have two ways for that: First get a Key and put that key to activate it to full version or Get a complete new copy from nearest computer shop or online....

You can illegal gain the package but I would not recommend it or even support it.

Please consider to buy a genuine product instead.

This is a known issue with some of the programs in Office 2008. I don't know if they provided the fix yet, but you should use Microsoft's update page and download service pack two. If you already have that update, recheck frequently.
I included a link so that you can find out more about it and select the updates you want. The safest way to go about it is by using your Publisher or Word Program to initiate the download. Do nothing because Office 2007 can read them fine, and you're not trying to convert them to a knowledge management solution within Office? Otherwise use Office VBA to script the process or work with a subset of the files with the conversion wizards which may be included to achieve your particular conversion.... There may of course be a utility (shareware, freeware, GPL, or for license) waiting for your search to illuminate at versiontracker.com (covering the "there's an app for that" case.)
