Okay i bought an acer

That's is not the key they are asking for.

They are asking for the product key that you receive once you pay for the full version. I assume that you have a trial period. Did you see where it says 'obtain product key'? You will need to purchase the full version (the key) to unlock this program and all of it's features..

Alternatively, if you are looking for a free reputable program that is exactly like Word, try www.openoffice.org. It is a program that I use every day. It operates almost 99% just like Word. They also have the other applications such as an excel program and even a powerpoint application.

You will love it if you do not wish to purchase the key.

I have a Dell desktop

Hi,

If your computer is currently running Windows Vista Home Edition, to perform an upgrade installation (i.e; without affecting data and programs previously installed), you will have to install
Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Ultimate edition on your computer.

Windows 7 Professional cannot be installed as an upgrade installation and can be only installed as a clean install (i.e; after erasing everything on your hard drive).

For details, kindly see the chart on this page:

http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-considerations.aspx

For detailed installation steps, kindly click here:

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

Not sure what happened ,lost

Which do you have - Vista Home Premium or Vista Home Basic? The title of this question category and what you said you have doesn't match. I'll assume you had Home Premium 64 Bit. Yes you can upgrade to Windows 7, 64 Bit. Please be aware that there is the 64 Bit and the 32 Bit versions. Check with your OEM of the computer before you upgrade. In the upgrade process, Windows 7 will create a folder called "windows.old" once the install has completed. There you will find the data you had from the old operating system like pictures and documents. Before you do the upgrade, I recommend downloading and installing the Windows 7 Advisor to check on any software and hardware issues - the advisor will list those problems before you can upgrade so that you can make the corrections.

Advrcntr2.dll is missing

To install advrcntr2.dll, follow these instructions:

  • Open the zip-file you downloaded from DLL-files.com.
    • Extract the .dll-file to a location on your computer. We recommend you to unzip the file to the directory of the program that is requesting the file. If that doesn't work, you will have to extract the file to your system directory. By default, this is C:\Windows\System (Windows 95/98/Me), C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000), or C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, 7).
    • Make sure overwrite any existing files (but make a backup copy of the original file).
    • Reboot your computer.
    • If the problem still occurs, try the following:
      • 1. Press Start and select Run.
      • 2. Type CMD and press Enter (or if you use Windows ME, type COMMAND).
      • 3. Type regsvr32 "filename".dll and press Enter.

Windows donot accept my key product

Use the Telephone Activation procedures. The product key is already in use - by YOU! telephone activation should work - if the automated responder doesn't accept the key, then call back, and do not respond when asked which service you want - that should force an operator to answer, and you can explain it to them, and resolve the situation. wish you the best of luck and please vote

My cursor jumps around. Why?

(1) If you are using a laptop for typing text and your cursor is jumping around while you are working with a touch pad then it is a common defect in many Laptops. The solution to this is that you disable the touch pad by pressing down Fn key and selecting the appropriate Function key. You have to use a mouse.
(2) If you are using a desktop and the cursor is jumping then it is a very high probability that you have a virus in your computer. Take a updated virus cleaner/remover and scan/clean your system.

How to download window vista home basic...actually

Hi,

If you would like to restore the pc back to factory settings, I suggest you use your recovery disks that would have been received with the PC or you would have created as part of the setting up process. If you do not have these then you would have to buy the software online or via a software retailer. There is no place online that you can legitimately download for free.

Hope that helps

You can get a full version key from Microsoft online store or any Microsoft Authorised dealer near you. However I will advise you move up to windows 7 you will love it. It is lighter than windows Vista and more enhanced features than windows XP. Moreso, Support for windows Vista is at the end of life.
