On my induction hob, 2 discs on the right side stopped working at the same time, I put the pan on and it shows as if it hadn't been detected, the same pan works on the remaining 2 discs on the left

A) https://hobguide.com/induction-hob-cannot-detect-pan/ B) https://hobguide.com/induction-hob-not-working-on-one-side/ You are advised to not try to get into the electronics of the induction hob. Such is dangerous. The unit uses 3 phase electricity, something unlikely to be addressed by DIY activity if you want to be safe. Check your warranty. I assume this is not a matter of pans of the wrong material or size being deployed. This well may require a technician to sort out. The brand/model has not been identified so I cannot direct you to further resources. Your user manual surely provides a company name where you might seek some customer support.

Jenn Air C221 element only goes to high?

Based on the symptoms described, it is possible that the issue lies with the ceramic element that the burners connect to at the back of the burner unit. This could be causing a short circuit between the two burners, which is preventing the large burner from being adjusted lower when both burners are on. It is also possible that there is an issue with the wiring or connections between the two burners, which is causing a similar short circuit. However, given that the smaller burner appears to be working fine, this seems less likely. Another potential cause of this issue could be a problem with the control board or another component of the stove's electrical system. However, given that replacing the infinite switch and receptacle for the large burner did not resolve the issue, it seems less likely that this is the root cause. In order to determine the exact cause of this issue, it may be necessary to consult with a professional appliance repair technician who can diagnose and repair the stove.

Domain ceramic cooktop cec70 will not turn off

If your ceramic cooktop model CEC70 is not turning off, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue: 1. Check the controls: Ensure that you have properly followed the instructions to turn off the cooktop. Some models may require you to press and hold a specific button or combination of buttons to power off the cooktop. Refer to the user manual for your specific model for detailed instructions on turning it off. 2. Power cycling: Try power cycling the cooktop by turning off the power at the circuit breaker or unplugging it from the power source. Leave it unplugged or with the power off for a few minutes before plugging it back in or turning the power back on. This can sometimes help reset the controls and resolve any temporary issues. 3. Control lock: Check if the cooktop has a control lock feature that might be activated. Some models have a lock function to prevent accidental changes to the settings. Look for a button or key combination that activates or deactivates the control lock. Refer to the user manual for instructions specific to your model. 4. Contact customer support: If the issue persists, it is recommended to reach out to the manufacturer's customer support or consult a professional technician who specializes in appliance repairs. They will be able to provide further guidance or arrange for a service visit to diagnose and fix the problem. Remember, when dealing with electrical appliances, it's always important to prioritize safety. Can anyone tell me the specs I would need in a varistor to replace the one from my Iwatani induction cooktop?

o determine the specifications for the varistor to replace the one on your Iwatani induction cooktop, you will need to know the voltage rating and the maximum current the varistor can handle. One way to determine these specifications is to check the datasheet for the original varistor, which may be available from Iwatani or the varistor manufacturer. If you cannot find the datasheet, you can try measuring the resistance of the varistor with a multimeter, which can give you an idea of the voltage rating. However, keep in mind that the resistance may change as the varistor ages or if it has already failed. Additionally, you may need to know the peak current that the varistor can handle. This information may be available on the datasheet or on the original varistor if there are any markings left. If you cannot determine the peak current, a general rule of thumb is to choose a varistor with a maximum surge current rating that is higher than the maximum current that the circuit can deliver. It's important to choose a varistor with the correct voltage rating and peak current handling capability, as using an incorrect varistor can potentially cause further damage to your induction cooktop or pose a safety hazard

Can I remove the downdraft equipment under my jennair electric cooktop and still use my cooktop?

It is possible to remove the downdraft equipment from underneath your JennAir electric cooktop and still use the cooktop, but it depends on how the downdraft equipment is attached to the cooktop and whether there are any other issues that may arise from removing it. Before attempting to remove the downdraft equipment, you should consult the user manual or contact JennAir customer service to ensure that it is safe to do so and to obtain any specific instructions for your particular model. Some potential issues to consider when removing the downdraft equipment include:
  1. Airflow: The downdraft equipment is designed to help draw smoke, steam, and odors down and out of the kitchen. Without it, you may experience reduced airflow and ventilation, which could result in lingering odors or smoke.
  2. Heat distribution: The downdraft equipment may also help distribute heat evenly across the cooktop surface. Without it, you may experience hot spots or uneven cooking.
  3. Stability: The downdraft equipment may provide additional support or stability to the cooktop. If it is removed, the cooktop may become less stable or secure.
If you decide to proceed with removing the downdraft equipment, it's important to follow all instructions carefully and to take appropriate safety precautions. You should also be prepared to address any issues that may arise as a result of the removal, such as by using an alternative ventilation system or adjusting your cooking techniques to compensate for any changes in heat distribution. If you're unsure about whether or how to remove the downdraft equipment from your JennAir electric cooktop, it's best to consult with a professional technician or contact JennAir customer service for guidance.

My Defy Slimline hob show error 22 and wont switch on

Error code 22 on a Defy Slimline hob usually indicates an issue with the touch control panel or power supply. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Turn off the power to the hob at the circuit breaker for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This can reset the electronics in the hob and clear the error.
  2. Check the hob's power supply. Make sure the hob is getting power from the electrical outlet or circuit breaker. If the hob is plugged in, try plugging it into a different outlet or resetting the circuit breaker.
  3. Check the touch control panel. Sometimes, the error code can be caused by a problem with the touch control panel. Make sure the panel is clean and free of debris or moisture. If the panel is damaged, it may need to be replaced.
  4. Contact a qualified technician. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it may be a more serious problem with the hob's electronics or power supply. Contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.

Electric schott ceran glass cooktop model number ISE630WS01 right burner not working

Based on your question that the right front burner of your Schott Ceran glass cooktop is not working, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power supply: Make sure that the cooktop is properly connected to a power source and that the circuit breaker or fuse is not tripped. If the circuit breaker is tripped, reset it and try turning on the burner again.
  2. Check the burner control switch: The burner control switch regulates the power to the burner. Check if the switch is loose, damaged, or defective. You can test the switch for continuity with a multimeter to determine if it is functioning properly.
  3. Check the heating element: If the burner control switch is not the problem, the issue may be with the heating element. Check the element for visible damage, such as cracks, burn marks, or discoloration. If you see any damage, the element may need to be replaced.
  4. Check the wiring: Check the wiring connections between the burner control switch and the heating element. If any of the connections are loose or damaged, this may be causing the issue.
  5. Test with a different burner: If you have multiple burners on your cooktop, try testing the right front burner with a different control switch or heating element to determine if the issue is with the burner or another component.
The above are basic means of troubleshooting, the following below will add more to the solution above; Check the control board: The control board is responsible for sending power to the heating elements. Check the control board for any signs of damage or burning, and test it for continuity using a multimeter.
  • Check the thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that cuts off power to the heating elements if they overheat. Check the thermal fuse with a multimeter to see if it has blown. If it has, you will need to replace it.
  • Check the switch relay: The switch relay is another component that can cause the burner to not work. Check the switch relay for any signs of damage, and test it with a multimeter to see if it is functioning properly.
  • Test the voltage supply: Use a multimeter to test the voltage supply to the burner. If there is no voltage, this could indicate a problem with the control board, thermal fuse, or switch relay.
  • Check for loose connections: Inspect all wiring connections between the control board, switch relay, and heating element. Loose or damaged connections can cause the burner to not work.

My Hotpoint induction hob is flashing error F14. What do I do too rectify this please?

Error F14 on a Hotpoint induction hob typically indicates a problem with the touch control panel. Here are a few things you can try to fix this error:
    1. Disconnect the power supply to the hob for a few minutes, then reconnect it and see if the error persists.
    2. Try cleaning the touch control panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dirt or grime that may be causing the error.
    3. If the problem persists, you may need to reset the touch control panel. My Defy Slimline hob shows error 42 when i switch on 2 plates, what might be the cause of this?

Look for a defective capacitor on the circuit board, like on the picture. The top is somewhat curved or even open. Replace the cap and the ones that are the same. most likely they are from the same batch and will be defect in a few weeks or so. Look at the green capacitors. the top left was blown in my hub. I could not upload a picture, because I can't switch of my add blocker
