go see your local dealer there are speed coils internally that burn out and I'll guarente you that you can not fix it yourself , I did for 13 years

Yes the 112 is the best Auto Pilot. You control everything from around your neck. Waypoints last fishing hole. The coolest thing when you go to a big lake and the water fluctuate day today, your waypoints on the remote keep you in the same depths you fished before in that spot and has recorded your fishing hole so all you do is it resume and your trolling motor will guide you through the last way you fished the spot. You can buy a (Battery Switch) that controls all your batteries. Where ever you turn the dial is what bank you will be using. As far as The trolling motor go get a three prong plug, female male ground and stand by. The wiring is so simple it you do this. Walld"

In the shaft about half way down there is a splitter that may have came loosen. I fixed mine with black tape. Not ideally what you want to do. But I have the same problem with mine on the lake and did a quick fix.

Do you have a remote-less unit Or a remote unit. Being a I Pilot I would think you do have a remote, if you left it in the box the unit is always looking for a signal that controls the computer connection. Take the remote and remove from I-Pilot so that the system goes into manufacturing manual

I don't know what you mean by it doesn't work right in water. Is the prop spinning correctly in water? If not, check the shear pin, it may be broken. If the motor bogs down, it may need to be dried out more.

Make sure the motor turns freely by hand. If not, check to be sure there is no foreign material wrapped around the shaft, like fishing line or weeds. if the motor spins freely and still won't run the brushes may be stuck or worn out.
