Did you try tuning in to FM 88.7, this should pick up dvd audio

Had the same problem and two audio repair techs told me that it was a matter of 'wear and tear' and would be more economical to replace the unit. Wasn't in a position to do that so modified a pair of tweezers by gluing rubber pads on the heads and gently pulled the disc out. Not the best work-through but it sufficed until I sold the car. The cushioned tweezers didn't damage the discs.

Try Hokking the Yellow Memory wire to a 12 V supply. I should work. If you need the dvd to turn off automatically change your red 12 V to ignition.

Try turning your stero to 88.7. I cannot figure out how to get the sound to come out through the jacks though. I plan on buying the IR headphones at somepoint, but I would like to be able to use the jacks in the meantime

It is actually a safety feature of player that wont allow you to watch video while driving. If security happens even if you are park then there must be a problem somewhere. Try to check the parking wire if it is connected to the radio ground. It should be connected to radio ground instead of the parking break ground.
