The dryer is 220 volts and is on a separate 30 amp breaker to the 110 volt supply for the washing machine 15 amp circuit. Lights are on a separate 5 amp lighting circuit Unplug the appliance that doesn't work and plug in a kettle or lamp that is known to work.
