Check your vent duct or filters for excess lint. Also dryers are protected from incorrect settings and pressing the On button for too long or just briefly. Try a full second.

The screws and spacers for the device are lost. However, the mounting hardware could easily be replaced by three screws and corresponding plastic bushings/spacers.
