Check the main oven burner and look for a small thin bar that goes across the burner on the left or right hand side, push it down and across into its seating. its part of a sensing device for the gas flow

it is in the gas line to your burner, you need to call a technician. do not play with it, as you can create a gas bubble and burn yourself.

The door seal is about 35 the element around 75.00. If you use self cleaning the element burns as high as possible. Therefore the element could have been damaged. I believe 5 to 7 years is the norm. Have a good day.
How do I install a whirlpool top gas stove?
You need a gas connection .then flex tube channel locks or a pipe wrench and some Teflon tape. Connection should have shut off valve.should be shut off. Put Teflon tape on threads then connect the connectors. Open valve.check your work twice listen and use your nose for a foul smell.

Usually the problem is the gas (safety) valve. It may need replacing at $220 Canadian or so for parts. Of course in the USA everything is half as expensive as here. Sometimes it is working fine but requires 2 or 3 minutes to cycle through before it works.
