JBL PSW-D110 Speaker - Page 3 Questions & Answers
How do you disassembly the JBL PSW_D110?
what i did was i stuck my hand in the port, screw driver in hand, used the blunt end of the screwdriver put it in the indent on the magnet on the back of the sub, positioned it so that the end of the screw driver was stickin out and smacked it with a hammer and it popped out, make sure u take the screws out of the front of the sub, and then take the insulation out of the box and do the same thing to th eboard just do it on theblack part of the amp not on the board
Broken speaker
you will need to put special glue which usally you can get from the stero store or radio shack. If you can not find it you need to get some of the foam glue from home depot and use as liitle as possible
No output from d110
Hi Chadwik
The fact that you do get hum when you partially remove one of the RCA's
would tend to say that the output stages are working ok. Is the hum
"solid" and bassy, or distorted?
There are a few issues that these subs have had, mostly to do with capacitors in the power supply failing. If you are up to it, I can talk you through repairs to it.

C6 Polarity?
Hi CALSunbelt
There is no polarity to be conscious of when you are using a BiPolar cap. They can be used in either direction.

JBL PSW-D110 Humming Loud
If I remember these correctly, there is a bad coupling cap in the amp section. You should see it as the top should have ballooned up. Replace the cap and you should be OK.

Another broken speaker

Problem with your JBL BoomBox2 speaker (or similiar) ?
Just found this out, after crazy searching & brainstorming.
So if your speaker suddenly goes silent or sound comes and goes, you can check this out:
At least the JBL BoomBox seems to have this integrated in its architecture so there's nothing we can do about it, complain to JBL : )
But to the problem: if the SOURCE of music/sound is too low, then the speaker may go into a "sleep mode" - silent. So ensure always your SOURCE of sound, connected to the speaker, has volume at least 80% to avoid this problem.
Hope this helps & no one needs to ditch and buy a new one ! : )

A blinking light on the JBL 10" G2 input signal board can indicate a problem with the input signal. Here are some steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:
- Check the input cables: Make sure the cables are securely connected and there's no damage to the cables or the input jacks. Try swapping out the cables with a known working set to see if that resolves the issue.
- Check the source: Make sure the source device (such as a mixer or computer) is working properly and is sending an output signal.
- Check the input settings: Make sure the input settings on the JBL 10" G2 are correct. Refer to the manual for information on the correct input settings.
- Power cycle the device: Turn off the JBL 10" G2 and unplug it from the power source. Wait a few minutes and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for firmware updates: Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the JBL 10" G2. Refer to the manual or the JBL website for information on firmware updates.
- Contact JBL customer support: If you're unable to resolve the issue with the above steps, contact JBL customer support for further assistance.
