I have the same problem and the same conditions.
The tweeter is good, 3.8 ohms.
Some points of solding (donuts), have bad aspect.
I resolder the power transistors to the PCB and I solve the problem.

hi there... i have same problem and i believe the main amp (part 339555-001 EON 15 G2) have to be replaced. jbl prosound sell it for $112.80 and you need to do the job yourself, which is not too big deal but not too easy either.
i did not start yet.

First you need to verify that there is nothing wrong with your amplifier. Simply swap speakers around and see if the fault follows the faulty speaker or stays on that channel. If the speaker is at fault I would hazard a guess and say, that the woofer has burnt out and is now a high resistance. This would then increase the total impedance of the speaker circuit and make the horn speaker sound the way you described. This can be verified with an ohm meter. Total impedance should be about 4 to 8 ohms. The only real remedy is to replace the faulty speaker woofer. Sorry

The voice coil in the big speaker could have been damaged if driven to loud. See if the burnt smell is strongest near the center of the big speaker. If the voice coil is fried, you may be able to still find a replacement as there is a part number for the voice coil (V/C Assy, EON-G2220-27005-00) and the cone (EONG2 Cone Repl. C2REON15P-2)

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. AGENTS OF LITTLE HELP. THEY TEST FOR A FEW MINUTES AND REPORT ALL IS WELL

The hum is because your connecting your speakers to the same power strip or extension cord, try connecting each one from different power source. I had the same problem with mine.

These fuses are most likely 3 Amp fuses. Please note that if the replacements blow as well, that there is a problem within the amp section that will require repair.

You don't need schematics to replace the fuses.
Open the speaker unit by unscrewing the back. The fuses are located near the on/off switch assembly. Replace them and screw the the unit back together.
To avoid blown fuses, try lowering the volume.
