I am trying to pair my 220 with my blackberry

Shut your Explorer 220 off. Shut your phone off and take the battery out for about 30 seconds. Put the battery back in and turn your phone and headset back on and try re-pairing them. This should take care of the problem for you.

Following directions for plantronics 240

I would suggest taking the battery out of the phone for a few moments, then try pairing the headset and phone again at a location where there are no other Bluetooth devices in range for your phone to pick up on.

I have a plantronics explorer

Check that both devices have activated Bluetooth connectivity. Check that the distance between the two devices is not over 33'. Make sure that the Plantronics bluetooth Explorer is not hidden on your phone. Sometimes the bluetooth activations are not easily accessed. Here is a link to the Explorer 220 pairing instructions for you to try.

I have a plantronics 240

You want to make sure that other bluetooth devices are not interfering with the connection, and it sounds like that is what's happening.

Check the phone manual for instructions on how to do it then remove the phone battery, if possible, for a few seconds and reconnect (resets the phone). Then re-pair the headset to the phone following the instructions on the this link for the Plantronics Explorer 240.

Theoretically they should work together; the Plantronics Explorer 240 is a 2.0 bluetooth and the phone you have is a 2.1. It may come up as a generic headset. Here is a link to the Explorer 230 User Guide. I hope it helps.

Try to delete the bluetooth from the phone, and re-pair it or subscribe back on the phone. It may be that your headset is old and needs to be replaced. If this does not work look at the Plantronics M100 bluetooth headset.

I'm afraid that if it's not turning on after that long of a charge you'll need to return it to your retailer or call Plantronics (800-544-4660 x5538) for warranty replacement.

If it's past the warranty period, check out this link for the Plantronics Explorer 220 for all the latest headsets.

Hi I recently got a

It sounds like your headset has a problem. You need to return it to your retailer for replacement or call the customer service department at Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5538. Make sure that when you get your replacement headset, that you try to let it charge for a good 3-4 hours prior to using it and that you charge it every night, that way the battery within the headset will last longer.

I found my son's plantronics

Normally the flashing red / blue light indicates the headset is in pairing mode. The red light indicates it's charging but the occasional instant blue is a mystery. The user guide below has the instructions for turning the headset on and off, and pairing to a phone. I would suggest you charge it up, follow the pairing instructions and see what comes up.

Take a look at the Manual. You mention two different headsets in your request, I am going with the V521. I would suggest that you delete the pairing, and redo the pairing again.

How do I listen to

Listen to music with the Plantronics Explorer 220:

Unfortunately the Explorer 220 was not designed for music, it does not have the technology built in to stream audio. Headsets must have the Bluetooth A2DP profile and technology to be able to stream music. Like the Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and BackBeat models. Here are the links for these below.
