Need drain plug for 2 hp Utilitech pump

If it is just the plug to close a hole, a standard pipe plug from a hardware store will fit. Measure the hole and ask the store clerk to help. They are very inexpensive, so if you get sizes close to your measurement you should be able to get the right one. Be sure not to cross thread (put in at a bad angle and use pipe sealing tape).

Sump pump will not pump water, won' turn on, floater up

There are a few things that could cause this problem to come up. Pretty much all of them do require taking the sump pump apart a bit though. I would suggest having a professional come to help you if you don't have much experience with this kind of work. Hopefully you can get this resolved fairly quickly. http://www.rite-waywaterproofing.com/sump_pump_install.php

New utilitec pump cuts on and off, won't hold pressure

I do not know your system however it sounds like it is on a well system. If so the pressure tank is water bound and needs to be drained. There is a air regulator that needs repair or replacement. I am just taking a guess.

My utilitech shallow well froze breaking the rear flang tetween motor and pump need flang how do i order one

It would probably be easier just to get a new pump. There is two flanges that mate, one on the motor one on the pump. I believe it is called a "C" face on the motor but I am not sure. You can get replacement motors with this flange.

Problem with pump?

The pump pressure switch should be checked to see what the ON-OFF pressure is set at. Typically the pressure switch is set for 20-40 psi, or 30-50 psi. The pressure tank should be purged as well. With the pump OFF, and the tank drained of water, the air valve on the tank should read approximately 2 psi below the "on pressure". So if the system operates at 20-40, the tank should be pre-charged to 18 psi. If water escapes from the air valve, the internal bladder in the tank is ruptured, and the tank needs to be replaced. A tire air gauge is used to measure the pressure in the tank after the water is emptied from the tank.. A tire air pump or a compressor is used to charge the tank. if a compressor is used, be careful not to over-inflate the tank, as this may cuase the bladder to rupture.

Pump not holding presure

If you have a bladder - type water pressure tank, it probably needs to be purged of air and then pre-charged to 18 psi. There may be directions on the side of the tank. Turn the water Pump off. Drain the tank of water. Check the pressure of the tank at the air valve on top of the tank. The pre-charged pressure of the bladder is set to 2 psi below the lower pressure set by the pressure switch, so in your case, the low end pressure is 20 psi. Therefore, the pre-charge pressure of the tank is 18 psi. If you set the pressure switch to operate at 30 -50 psi, then the pre-charge pressure would be 28psi., etc. Once the pre-charge pressure is set, turn the pump back on. ( don't forget to close the drain valve). The system should cycle normally. A tire gauge works to check the tank pressure. An air compressor may be used to charge the tank, but be careful not to over- inflate the bladder. A tire air pump may also be used. Hope this helps....
