Insignia frozen
the player is confused.. see you might have a lot of songs and with the bluetooth initialized the player cant do every thing at once so it freeze since it is so confused and when it freezes dont keep pressing buttons it gets more confuzed. it happened to me once and i just reset it and it worked. so try not to do every thing at once the player is not a computer.
Frozen
i think you should try draining the battery and recharge it again, or you can hold the power button for 10 sec to reset the mp3 player.
Playlists
you could only change the name by right clicking it and select rename.. for the artist you cant unless you downlode a tag editor which you can edit the name, artist, track #.etc.
Software
Insignia players mount on almost any computer with the generic mass storage driver. Two extra drive letters appear in Windows Explorer when the usb is plugged in. You can then drag your music into the Music folder. You can use any mp3 encoder/cd ripper software. Otherwise the CD contains software that is either available elsewhere (Rapsody) or is commercial software. (MediaConverter 2) is the reason why Insignia doesn't have the CD contents available for download on their website.
Big problem
something could be wrong with your USB port (get it checked out at bestbuy)
CAN'T VIEW MY FILES AND FOLDERS ?
It may be just the USB working mode of the player. The USB mode has to be set to either mass storage to view file/folders in Windows Explorer, or the other mode for Syncing with special mp3 player software such as Rapsody. NormalIy the USB mode is "automatic", but sometime this doesn't work or gets set off of automatic. So try setting the USB mode in the player's options. Is that doesn't work, please advise.
THE SONGS SAY UNKOWN
Insignia
mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file
system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

Also slight change your mp3 files are not "tagged" by whatever cd ripper or encoder or place you bought or downloaded them from.
