Start up will not allow
Hello, Lydia.
Leapster only allows 3 names (profiles). So, if you are trying to add a 4th name, you'll need to delete one.
When you are on the signon page with the 3 names listed (there must be 3 to erase one) - press these 3 buttons at the same time: Home, A and the Left Arrow. An "x" will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the "x" and it will ask you which one of the three names to erase. It only lets you replace one of the three.
Then, you should be able to enter a new name.
Hope this helps.

Leapster
I found this on an Ebay guide...
"FIRST! The pen is not electronic AT ALL! If the screen does not seem
to be working with your stylus pen (for instance, you click one part of
the screen and it clicks a totally different part), you may need to
calibrate the screen! Put a cartridge in, turn the system on, and when
the sign in screen comes up, press the HOME, HINT, and B buttons at the
same time. When the screen changes, press the A button. Follow the
directions.
If you need a replacement pen, with the cord attached, follow the instructions:

Leapster screen not working
Apparantly, the Leapster screen issue is a common problem. While this suggestion is not ethical and since my game was near perfect condition, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a new one of the same color and then returned the broken one.

Leapreader won't turn off
Try pressing the on/off button to turn it off. I had a same problem. I depressed the on/off button for ~6 second or so and the device turned off. When I turned on again, the LeapReader no longer had a white light and was recognized by my computer.

Leap reader won't turn on
the pen wouldn't launch from app on the desktop or turn on manually for me either, You need to launch it through their website, it's a rollover button top right on the website page 'Launch Leapfrog Connect' the pen then auto turns itself on!
Leapfrog ipad ultra black screen white dot
During a normal shut down, the screen image on a LeapPad will reduce to a white dot, which will disappear in five to ten seconds.
In rare circumstances, the white dot will not disappear and the LeapPad will not fully power down. If the LeapPad does not complete the shutdown process and the white dot remains on the screen for more than ten seconds, complete the shut down by pressing and holding the power button on the LeapPad for ten seconds. This will fully power the LeapPad down, and it will start up normally next time you power it on. For more information contact essay writing service reviews
