You will have to replace the LG SecurDisc 20x Internal Double-Layer DVD RW/CD-RW Super Multi Drive w/LightScribe or have the lens replaced.

this might be because you have not selected the option to burn an audio dvd or your burning software does not support dvd burning there are plenty of free burning software programs on the internet

It could be a problem withthe lens, you should try cleaning the lens, it's already gone bad there is noharm in trying If you take a little riskcan solve . follow the instruction: Don'tpanic its very simply.

1. When running your pc , open the drawer.>
2. switch off the ac power
3. remove power cable & sata or pata cable
4. remove all the screw from the back side
5. press clip to open the font panel
6. reverse the CD/DVD rw
7. just remove the cover
8. clean the optical lance

10. use a little ( not much )oil place on two steel shaft
11. cover all the equipment
12. now you can fit to your PC

Ifit does the same problem please change the CD/DVD rw because the lance has defected. Hopeit will help you. Don't for gate to vote me.

The drive's name tells us that you can write a double layer DVD just fine. Have you tried it ou yet? please update me of the proceedings so I can be of better help.

1.Install the driver disk that came with the drive.You can even download the driver from the internet from here-http://www.lg.com/us/computer-products/optical-media/LG-internal-dvd-burner-GH20LS10.jsp .
2.If the drive does not work still then check out the connections made in the system i.e power cable,IDE/SATA connector also check that the data cable {IDE/SATA} is not faulty.Heck the jumper settings See the drives user maunal to check for jumper settings or try to find the printed sticker/label on the drive
3.If drive does not works your drive is faulty hope this solves your problem..please don't forget to rate me ....

You can try this method, firstly u will do right click on my computer at desktop. here is method for doing this thing: right click on computer------->properties-------->hardware-------->device manager------>right click on your burner drive-------->properties----->driver------>uninstall. GO back to the device managger window, click 0n "action" and then on "Scan for hardware changes". The OS should find your burner and install back its drivers properly. right click my . GO back to the device manager window, click 0n "any drive" and then u will see a option on the bar at above "Scan for hardware changes". then click on "Scan for hardware changes", The OS should find your burner and install back its drivers properly. but if your internet is connected then it is very good. Then u will latest drivers & internet search & update the firmware also.

Is this device showing in Device manager if so try Nero burning room for writing .Also try checking by reading a normal CD

Hi,it's obvious from your problem that the particular disc that cannot be viewed on your computer is of a formatt not supported by the windows XP.some DVDs are of low quality which can be viewed practically on any DVD player but as a result of their low quality and the sensitivity of the Windows they are not recognized by your computer. In as much as other DVDS play on your computer,it means there's no problem with your computer,but an unsupported disc formatt is been trying to be viewed and there's nothing you can do to view a DVD formatt not supported by your computer.please don't be bothered.

Firstly you update the DVD/CD-ROM drives form device manager and restart the system,if nothing happning in that condition you need to reinstall the DVD/CD-ROM drives through CD or net.
