Do you have a legit copy of windows, sometimes if the copy is (Backup) then Windows will purposely disable drivers.
If, its a genuine version, first try plugging your usb device into another usb port somewhere. Try powering down your PC and powering it back on. If these steps do not work, go to Start>Contro>Driver/Devices and look if there is any Yellow caution signs with the device plugged in. If so, click on it and follow the steps prompted to find the appropriate driver for your USB device. It will do a search by itself.

Press windows key +R key so you can see run then type in run "devmgmt.msc" then press ok so you can see device manager uninstall all usb drivers then it automatic install usb drivers. then check. Also you need to change registry for that type in run "regedit" then press ok then you can see registry editor then locate below key. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11 CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} And remove upper filter and lower filter.Then restart computer then check. Also locate the below key and make sure it's value is 3 not 4. HKLM\system\currentcontrolset\services\usbstor make sure start value is 3 not 4. Let me know if you need further assistance. Right click on the photo which you want to move to your USB,Slect option SEND TO , click on your USB drive.It will transfer photos to your USB

If there are multiple photos,Slect all the pics you want to transfer,then following to same procedure as above to transfer.

First thing first unless you have backup on your computer or another location every time you use your quick book don't use a thumb drive never trust a thumb drive with important data like that. QBW is your quick books file if you right click on it and go to open with when you quick books you should be able to set as default from that same place. Now this will work providing you have quick books on the computer your try to open it on you should be able to find it from there.

right click my computer and go to manage. Then select disk management and see if it in there. If it and doesn't have a drive letter by it. Select mount it and assign it a letter and it should work. If not then the flash drive is probably bad.

Usually this means the system can't detect the structure of the filesystem. You may have to format the drive.
In Windows, you can right-click the drive and choose "Format..."
In OSX go to Disk Utility, select the drive on the left, and click "Erase"

right click the drive in My Computer. Select Format Drive. This will erase all of the files on the drive.

First, let me say that sometimes my PCs, even newer ones, want to start slow with my own 4GB Cruzer attached, and I have to unplug it and wait 'til Windows starts... Secondly, since you say your PC isn't recognizing it AFTER an architect copied files to it, I would think that perhaps the architect is using some security software to lock the device. Some USB devices have built-in security--some even have a tiny little physical lock on the side to prevent accidental erasure and protect them as well. If your architect formatted it at any time to put the file on it, I'd say look at security features being employed to protect it. Of all the arts, engineering and architecture are two of the biggest fields where copyright and design is a commonly protected thing, and there's a chance he/she even forgot his PC did this to any software copied to USB flash devices connected to it.
If his file(s) were created in Linux, or another OS, there's also a chance he formatted the flash drive to make it recognized by his own OS. Hope not--he should know it probably wasn't necessary , as Linux-based OS's also 'see' Windows-style file structures, like NTFS.

Reonnect the Pendrive and see which drive is being assigned to.

Check drive properties.

Try different USB outlets on your computer. Try it on different computers too. Then if still nothing.....it's fried! I hope the warranty is still valid if it is! Most companies will do a 1 for 1 replacement on flash drives.

Assuming you are plugging this into your computer? Flash drives do not connect to the Internet. They are a storage device. Your computer may coincidentally have an Internet connection problem and is displaying the message (in a balloon, bottom right corner of screen) but it is not the flash drive it's referring to. Check your computer's network connections.

please read all before attempting this....

1. remove flash drive
2. restart computer
3. insert flash drive
4. if it does not auto open go to my computer / right click and a menu should appear click open in new window
5. files should be displayed
6. if not you may want to reformat flash drive ( if nothing vital was on it ) right click on flash drive and choose format from menu
7. in the format menu uncheck quick format and click ok.( this may take a while follow on screen prompts )
8. put something on drive and check it is there.
9. if you have something important on drive google a free recovery program install and try that.
10. if nothing happens the drive may be faulty.
11. if you have second computer test it there first to see if ok.
