Hi Carlos,First of all thank you for posting your question here at Fixya.com.My first advice is to confirm if your remote control is working fine by aiming the infrared emitter(sensor) directly to your cellphone camera, while pressing any button key, you can see the flash of an infrared through your camera indicating that the remote is in good condition. Watch the video below for more info. You are entering the right codes for Apex DVD player. And this remote control has only two 3 digit codes for Apex DVD (147 & 256).If the two codes didn't work to your player, I would advice you to do the auto code search mode. At this state, the remote control will automatically find the compatible codes available from its memory. Follow the steps below.> Turn on the DVD player.> Hold down [SET] and the device you want to set (AUX) so that the red LED light goes on> Press [SET] again. The LED will start flashing> Press [POWER] button continuously until the DVD player turn off> Once the DVD player turned off, press the device key(AUX) you are working with to end the setup Please be patient while doing this steps because the remote control will try to find the compatible codes listed on its memory. If the auto search mode didn't work also, this is an indication that this Model no. is not compatible (no compatible codes) to the remote control.Again, thank you!Have a nice day and take care!Kind Regards,Mjsazon

Step 5: Starting with the number 1 key, press and release each number key on the keypad in the following order: 1 to 9, then 0. The number that causes the illuminated ON/OFF key to blink is the first number of the code.
Note: TV codes begin with the number 1 VCR codes begin with the number 2 DVD codes begin with the number 3 Satellite receivers and cable boxes, codes begin with the number 5.
Step 6: Repeat step 5 until you have retrieved all 4 numbers in the code.

Trutech tv are specially made for Target stores, will not find any universal codes for this tv.I have one of this tv too, bought it in Target store awaile back,go through problems before.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote for $50-$55 bucks.
Enter your model number in the search box at the top right. (I found my model number on a sticker on the inside of the battery cover; mine's RCR311W.)
There should be a "Support/Manuals" tab. Click that, then there should be a link to the user manual.
If you want to use manual entry of the code (not in my manual), try this site: http://www.eliztech.com/remotes/rca-prog-v2.php They have directions and a link to the codes for a few RCA remotes (including mine).
You haven't specified your remote model number or your brand of TV, so I can't tell you how to program your remote or which codes to use. However you can get all the remote codes from here:
Enter your remote model number in the "SKU" box on the left and select your device type, e.g TV and then press "Submit". You will then get a list of codes for all TV brands. Find your brand and make note of the codes.
To program your remote you can enter these codes manually or use the code search function. You can find details of how to do this on this page:
Hello, you can always download the owners manual from RCa for free from: www.rca.com// just click on the accessories window and select universal remotes, you will need a model number for you remote control unit. thanks.
The code list gives these codes for Sharp TVs: Sharp 005, 021, 071, 085, 087, 092, 128, 183, 208, 274, 298 .
Press PGM and then enter a 3 digit code followed by OK. The indicator light should have come on when you pressed the first button and go off after you enter the code. Try to change the volume on the TV. If it doesn't work, try another code. If the indicator light blinks 4 times and then remains lit, you may have entered the wrong code. Try again.
If you still have a working remote for the TV, it will still control the TV (just make sure not to change the TV channel).
