How do you recover deleted videos?

If you have taken new video after removing the old ones, then the old videos are gone.

If you have only deleted your videos without recording anything into the camcorder then there is a chance of recovery. I use File Scavenger software myself http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm

Transferred video files from my Flip onto my

You have chance to get back some or all of those lost videos from your Flip Camcorder if you take care.

First things first: DO NOT take any more videos with the memory card or hard disk (on your camcorder) that you want to recover videos from. Take the memory card or disk out of your cam and put it in a safe place. Because if you take any more videos or save any data to your memory card or hard disk, you may quite possibly ruin your chances of video recovery.

Then Connect the card or disk to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a data recovery utility that will recover your videos with Wondershare Recovery Software (I once used this program bounded with some other software) from the following link:

Video Photo Recovery (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Data Recovery (from MacUpdate site)

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your camcoder(card or disk) until you can recover your videos safely!

Can you Recover deleted video off the camcorder?

I have had success with this camcorder recovery software named asoftech data recovery... Download the program http://www.asoftech.com/adr/Please be noted that your camcorder memory card/hard drive should show as a drive letter in your explorer, if not, you need to take out your memory card or hard drive and connect using a card reader, or plug-in to card reader slot if there's any on your computer.

Forgot my flip camera security code

  • 1 Enter the number you think is your 4-digit unlock code. Do it once slowly, so you don't waste the number of tries you're allowed before the cam completely locks. If you never set a code, try 1234. The factory sets this as the default. If that fails, try the last four digits of your home phone number. That's the default of some network providers. If all these fail, go to Step 2.

  • 2 Click the menu key, which has horizontal lines on it. It sits between the left and right soft keys and above the round 5-way navigation keys. You should now see the unlock code bypass screen. Enter your 6-digit security code. Select "OK." If this doesn't work or you don't remember your security code, go to Step 3.
  • 3
  • Try 000000 as the factory default setting for the security code. If that doesn't work, go to Step 4.

  • 4 Call your network's customer service center. Locked ones usually let you call both customer service and 911. However, calling on a separate phone will make entering the code they give you easier to enter and test while they're still on the phone with you.
  • HID KITS.

Your videos may still be in the Recycle Bin/Trash. Try plugging the device back in to your computer, then check the Recycle Bin to see if the movies are there. If they are, delete them from the Recycle Bin (or empty the bin completely) and they will be permanently removed from the device.

    Broken lens

Had a broken lens as well. As you're probably aware it's not really a lens but a protector like a watch crystal. So I went to a jeweler who said, "Oh I don't know, it's not a watch. Bla bla bla." I said I'm not going to hold you accountable. He said fine. He fixed it easily. $20.

    Hello i have a pure

the format in your camera is RAW once its transfered to the PC it is upconverted to a Mpg,Mov or AVI after witch it was not 30 mins in s the first place it was only half that.

Editing a video to say 30 mins can be done in windows movie maker, you might need to add some content to it tho.

The other purpose for this is so you can upload the video to youtube without a time limit restriction.

    let me know
